All of them are better than this (especially Dusty and Iron Will).

This happens when you try to form a Legion of Doom in a world where anyone who is worse than a jackass is dead or in Tartarus.

I like to think that she represents the dark inversion of Friendship. In the name of friendship, she is willing to do horrible things.

This is only the start of my biggest problem with this comic. My biggest issue with Hope isn’t that she blindly let Sombra go free, or is single handedly dooming the world or that she is just a huge fucking moron.
 
No, my issue is that she has never been good in this comic. Her first appearance is telling Iron Will that ponies need to FEAR him for him to be successful.
 
And telling Flim and Flam that she will get rid of Applejack, a pony she has never even met before.
 
And telling Lightning Dust that revenge against someone who was protecting other ponies is exactly what she needs.
 
Let us not even get into working with Changelings, parasitic emotion eaters that have destroyed entire cities in the past.
 
I try to be patient with the comics, but the only thing that can save this series is if it turns out that Hope is secretly an Umbrum Sleeper agent, there to make sure that Sombra actually does his job. She’s done WAY too many downright evil things to just be excused because “She was trying to help her friend.”

This edit is dumb, because of all the characters Flim & Flam had the clearest motivation for joining the original plan*: $$$.
 
*Important Note: original plan did not involve them knowing about Sombra or overthrowing/destroying Equestria**. Hope deceived them.
 
**Note 2: Hope also lied about allowing the Changelings to destroy Equestria, so they were never going to go that far anyway. Hope was planning on backstabbing Chrysalis, but she ran away first.

It’s simple, this was a poorly thought out comic arc were several cannon characters get shit on, so the two favorites of the writers look good and get to save the day.

I don’t even watch the show or read the comic and I know that most people complaining are complaining about nothing. Clearly they had no idea what they were getting into when they were recruited.
