Discorded Whooves. It’s a nickname for the tumblr.
I’d check out Student of the Night, it’s a tumblr focusing a lot on the “WHAT IF SCOOTS HAS BAT WINGS!”
What is “Dissy?”
I haven’t really checked out that many “Ask Pony” Tumblrs lately, as lot of the good ones died sadly.
It is, because those two had good stories..but Sam Rose decided to make MS into a Dissy clone all while making everyone out of character and then throw a fit regarding criticism to his tumblr/his own fit regarding Octy and Vinyl and Jitters is just a full blown arse who’s run Dissy to the ground.
I’ve come across a few, but the one I really think is nice is darkflame75 of Student of the Night. Really nice, kind and his tumblr is a one of a kind.
It’s a shame, but some are quite nice. The guy who makes “Meanie Belle” is a pretty cool guy, and some of the other “Ask Pony blog” people are nice.
True. And sometimes, although some ask pony blogs like Motherly Scootaloo and Discorded Whooves themselves are drama hotspots, especially the mods who sometimes I feel grew an ego the size of Jupiter.
Tumblr is just weird. Period.
Yeah, it’s really not worth getting into… And you said it, some of the things they did to “ruin people” just for disagreeing with them are sick… No wonder Tumblr has such a horrible rep’ now. (Though, some of the “Ask Pony” gag blogs are amusing, and free of SJW drama.)
Yeah, sadly some do that just ’cause somebody is a “girl.” They have a lot of reverse-discrimination on Tumblr.
Yes.
And same, although personally I don’t touch the whole gender issue on tumblr with a ten foot pool, there’s too much SJW-like drama involved and anything can “trigger” those shlocks into ruining your entire life just because of it.
uuugh People do that, are you kidding me? What you’re gonna tell me that now that Jerry’s a woman now, people are gonna defend the fact she’s a sociopathic witch who insults, berates, attacks, and snarks about the fanbase for basically existing?
So basically like Chris Chan, Jerry’s just calling “herself” a girl without any surgery or anything, I take it?
I’m a pretty open-minded guy, but I don’t get that “gender reidentification” fad on Tumblr really. It’s not even the same as “transgender” to me, just calling yourself the opposite gender that you currently are, and insisting everyone do the same.
But I guess whatever floats somebody’s boat, I guess.
I also hate to say it, but I feel some Tumblr people just do that, because they think girls get away with things easier, (some speculate this is why Chris Chan assaulted that guy with pepper-spray in the store) and are more respected/sympathetic, and such. Also doesn’t help the “male gender” is considered scum on Tumblr. (Even by the self-loathing males on it.)
In fact, sense Chris Chan identifies as female now, some Tumblr folk actually were defending his bad behavior, (like the pepper-spray assault) just because of Chris’s new gender.
I don’t care what gender somebody is, or what they insist on being called, it doesn’t excuse their behavior.
Ew Tumblr Ew. I´d rather focus on Sanic.
Jerry apparently decided to go trans. Also when it comes to tumblr, you “now” gotta refer to Jerry as a “she”. I had one of her annoying fans accuse me of “misgendering” Peet and even got a talk from a friend to consider Peet a “woman” out of quote unquote “respect” despite that he loathe Peet’s existence.
The episode for me was still enjoyable even if it was a huge slew of fandom nods. It basically gave into fanon, but not too much (such as making Whooves a Time Lord, Octy-Vinyl dating, ect ect). It was a silly episode and really shouldn’t be taken too seriously. Unfortunately for Peet….
Isn’t Jerry a dude not a “chick?”
I felt “Slice of Life,” had a bit to much “fandon nods” too, but I still liked it frankly, and it was a genuinely funny, and an amusing episode. At times it even kinda satired the show itself. (Like the CMC’s dialogue in that one scene.)
Also, the fact the “Bugbear” looked a li’l like a panda was a genius bit of satire from M.A. Larson, whom was probably aware of the “Panda-rings” gag.
That’s probably one of my gripes with the chick: She bitches and criticizes fan work with little to no reason and not shutting up about it (coughSillyFillycough) and then acts high and mighty for her opinion.
Personally, I think she goes too far with giving the fandom grief, I mean she threw a fit about Slice of Life because it was a sort of tribute to the fandom and was all ‘IT’S HASBRO SUCKING OFF THE FANDOM!’ And I’ve seen, I’m surprised he hasn’t slandered this place.
….and his on/off follower FNGR.
I think frankly Jerry Peet tends to not be easily impressed by MLP fan-works. (In fact, I don’t even think I recall him saying anything positive about any of them, especially “popular” ones.)
He tends to needlessly bash a lot of decent fan-works, and creators, without giving much reason why they’re “so bad.” (And frankly, I’ve seen much worse then the people he complains about for being “popular.”)
While he has a point that fans shouldn’t be afraid to give negative-critique on fan-works, ironically, he “censors” anyone who critiques his works/videos negatively… He even did that to me once. This is one of the reasons he got a bad reputation here on Derpi. (That, and he was caught sock-puppeting here before.)
I’m impressed by that too, despite some always nit picking at all the work and dedication some put on it (
coughJerry Peetcough)Yeah, but they also have some cool/great stuff about them too.
I’m actually quite impressed with the amount of good-quality fan-animated parodies, figure sculptures, fanart, and such fanworks from bronies, and such out there.
Oh the horror irony.
All fandoms have some horrible stuff in them, look at the SU fandom.
Many fandoms are controversial. Some even find the brony one such, as well.
Like the arguments between the “Season 1/2 purists,” and the pony fans who still enjoy the show are kinda similar to the arguments “old-school,” and “new-school” Sonic fans have. So I’ve oddly noticed some similarities between both fandoms.
Oh the irony.
And true…then again the sonic fandom is the most controversial thing ever.
So does half the internet pretty much.
Just the mere mention of Sonic on any game website is sure to bring drama. Some really hate that hedgehog to a rather ridiculous degree. (You can’t even joke with some about the hedgehog.)
Regardless, there are quite a few Sonic fans here, (including one of our admins) and ironically, the “Sonic Discussion” thread in Derpibooru’s forums is one of the few threads that has no real drama/fighting in it.
Joking aside, there were a few things I liked about the 2003 “Sonic X” anime show, but I felt it kinda focused to much on Chris sometimes, and sometimes Sonic came off as having less personality then he did in the other Sonic shows.
