Indeed… (Now I’ll never get to play “Minish Cap.”) I assume they’re bringing GBA games to WiiU instead, due to not being able to bring GameCube games to WiiU’s Virtual Console, (for the possible reasons I stated below) or perhaps, they’re afraid if they release GBA games for 3DS’s Eshop, then people will only buy those, and ignore the Gameboy & Gameboy Color games.
Though, that doesn’t seem to be a problem on Wii, seeing as how NES VC games still sell well, even with more powerful systems on Wii/WiiU’s Virtual Console. (Especially, sense they’re cheaper.)
In fact, some of the best selling VC games are 8-bit NES titles like Super Mario 3.
Of course, even if they do release GBA games for both systems, it’s likely you’ll have to buy them separately like the NES Virtual Console games… (It would’ve been nice if they at least gave us a discount, like if you bought one on the Wii/WiiU, and want to get it for 3DS also.)
I suppose the WiiU’s “Game Pad” looks a li’l more like a GBA, but wouldn’t it make more sense to rerelease old portable GBA games on a portable system?
Yeah, that IS weird, especially given those 3DS Ambassador games from 2 years back that they apparently had no intention of ever releasing to the general public…
Don’t turn your back on them…
It has some nice new features, and the graphics are a bit improved, but sense I already have the GameCube version, I’m a li’l reluctant to get it, as well.
Also, something about them remaking a GameCube game doesn’t get my hopes up that they’ll have GCN games for WiiU Virtual Console anytime soon… (I guess some might be hard to emulate from the GCN disc tech, or without the pressure-sensative L & R buttons the GCN controller had.)
Oddly, they’re bringing GBA games to WiiU’s VC, instead of 3DS.
And let’s not forget their version of the Redeads…
…To be honest, though, when I get a Wii U, I’m probably not going to get Wind Waker HD. I mean, I plan on keeping my original Wii so that I can still play my Gamecube games, and I still have the original version of Wind Waker. Are the prettier graphics and the tweaks to the sailing and the Triforce shard quest (which I don’t really know the specific details of, I just know that it’s supposedly much less tedious, and not just because of the tweaks to the sailing mechanics) really a big enough reason for me to buy it again?
Yeah, even if there wasn’t any blood, it was arguably more shocking then the “final blow” from “Ocarina of Time,” and “Twilight Princess.”
And the fact that Link STABS GANONDORF IN THE FREAKING HEAD.
Given her nature, I don’t really expect her to SUCCEED, but it’s the thought that counts, right?
Oh yeah, different dungeons, different items, different graphical styles, different characters, different locations… BUT THE GENERAL PLOT IS ALWAYS THE SAME, SO IT SUCKS!
On the other hand, if it ain’t broke don’t fix it, right? The games may be formulaic, but they each have a unique feel to them.
Also, I liked Windwaker. (I didn’t mind the sailing segments either personally.)
I honestly, haven’t played a Zelda game I haven’t liked. (I even liked Zelda 2.)
Hurray all those people died.
Oh, yeah, typical fenwolf.(I think)
He says that all Zelda games are exactly the same.
It’s as if there is no difference between Majora’s mask, Wind Waker and Skyward Sword at all!
err…
*take a list*
Coincidentally, these are my two favorite Zelda games.
