Alright, so this was taken from a dragon’s nest, explains why Pinkie just went for it in Dragonshy. Hey, since Pinkie’s ancestor was such a great thief, maybe the next dragon they encounter, Rarity could have Pinkie steal some of the dragon’s treasure.

Yeah, the ability to defy all rules of logic and sanity and somehow have everything work out okay must be some sort of family trait.

Since the dragons seem to favor living on mountains, maybe he just pushed it downhill and built the farm where it stopped? Or, he could have just invoked the above-mentioned Pie family superpowers.

You guys are are wondering why he took the rock when you should be wondering is how he got that rock to the farm and without getting caught by the dragons not even maud pie could move that rock and she threw a boulder a hundred feet.

Gotta love the thought process of Pinkie’s ancestor about this thing: “Oh look, a giant egg-shaped thing sitting in the middle of a dragon’s nest. That’s DEFINITELY something I should go ahead and take to use as the centerpiece of my farm.”
