The elephant’s voice is a reference/parody to old timey comedian Joe Besser, whom some may remember briefly joined the “3 Stooges” after Shemp died. (Though, he wasn’t as good as Shemp, or Curly. He was a better comedian on his own, doing his own solo bits, or bit parts.)

When I was 3 years old for some reason I always thought that was Daffy disguised as an elephant instead of a genuine one.
One of the best jokes.

In some of the earlier Looney Tunes shorts, Bugs wasn’t always calm. As a matter of fact, he wasn’t really much of a Karmic Trickster and was more of a Heroic Comedic Sociopath
In the old days, Daffy said himself he was a greedy coward
Yes, they’re both tricksters…but that’s where the similarities end. Bugs is really calm and snarky, while Pinkie is loud and hyperactive.
If I was to compare Pinkie to ANY character from the Golden Age of Animation, it would be either Woody Woodpecker or early Daffy Duck (the crazy “Hoo hoo! Hoo hoo!” Daffy, not the greedy selfish jerk he became later on).
