Don’t get me wrong, I’m not a nailnazi on a mission to eradicate bad manis and pedis. This is bad in a hilarious way.

A manicure can look decent even on nails that short. It’s definitely not my preferred length, but it isn’t a guaranteed failure. It’s everything else that’s wrong with it. I mean, on the thumb alone there’s the uneven edge, the hangnail, the excessively thick base coat, the horrible attempts at the balloons and I can’t even tell if a transparent top coat was applied to keep everything from cracking and crumbling within a day or two, maybe three…  
It looks like she’s still got some nail polish to the right of her nail on her ring finger that she didn’t clean up. She also has rounded and flat edges at the same time. (choose one, preferably round)
 
I get that the point wasn’t to show off her awesome nail painting skills, but rather to show off her excitement for the episode. Good for her!  
It’s still a mess. Not the episode, I liked that. She’s not a bad writer. With practice she might get good at this too.

If you are going to paint your nails grow them out at least some.  
I’m a male and I keep my finger nails longer than that.

I’m excited for the Pinkie episode too, but this is just terribly done.
