Yes, we bronies get the subtext, but I made the point of wondering what she thinks.
Ponies, especially a young one, might not be familiar with that expression.
 
Considering the pony gets her mark when she realizes something about herself, it is perfectly possible she is aware of the concept presented in the hedgehog dilemma, merely unaware of it’s official name.
 
It’s not that hard to come to realization of “I’m really strong, other ponies are fragile, so I shouldn’t get too close.” Granted, it is a bit more one way than the original concept. >.>
