I just learned that we have a countershading tag (which overlaps with pale belly BTW).

But for some reason it’s being used for regular shading. Examples:

… omg there’s so many other tags like this … and a bunch of images with watermarks for Chinese social media sites where the actual artist’s work on the original site do NOT have that watermark. I’m starting to suspect someone’s spamming links to that site by adding the watermark to images …

I need a 2nd opinion: neither me or the artist are sure if my commission counts as having either candy gore or gore due to the inside of the segmented tail being mistakenly detailed out, so I added the former to play it safe at 1st.

I have been noticing a major issue involving editing tags; for some reason after clicking the save tags button, the page refreshes and a message saying “Too many tags changed. Change fewer tags or try again later.” shows up that the top of the page. Does anybody know what could be causing that to happen?

It just does that no matter how many I try to add or remove
It even happens when I add/remove only one tag

The site was updated with measures to prevent tag vandalism by users who are not logged in. Depending on what you are trying to do, it might be working correctly or it might be buggy.

I was trying to add the plot tag onto it.

A user who is not logged in, or a relatively new user who has an unverified account, may change at most 50 tags per 10 minutes (or 1 rating tag per 10 minutes) so regaining the ability to edit tags after time passes is working correctly.

User account verification is just a matter of site interaction and time for moderators to get around to it.

Isn’t starlight's village basically the same thing as our town? Could the former be aliased into the latter, as the latter tag is far more widely used, and there are 50 images tagged with both tags, so there’s already a considerable overlap.

Most if not all of these (>1,800 images) need to be tagged “solo” - I have tried to craft the search carefully, but I can’t be 100% sure there aren’t a few that shouldn’t be “solo”

Tagged most of them “solo”. A few remain, mainly “no pony” and “disembodied X” cases, and a surprising number of “eyes only”.

Is there a tag for AI-generated art that has obvious (and sometimes disturbing) anatomical errors? Or is this just kind of expected with any art tagged as AI-generated? As AI improves, I expect we’ll see less of this, but is there any tagging way to identify instances of this in the meantime?

AI-generated images with malformed anatomy are against site rule #3 so please report them.

Also take a look at the tags that imply “anatomically incorrect”. That’s not all anatomical wrongness tags we have, but it’s a start.

Does that include malformed fingers and toes? Those particular errors are extremely common in AI. Almost all the AI art I’ve seen here has that to some degree. I don’t want to be guilty of superfluous reporting.

Are the early AI images exempt, e.g. thisponydoesnotexist or Google’s deep dream/deepdream? I would expect them to be, as historical artifacts. The rules only mention uploading, not existing images, so it seems that old ones are indeed protected.

They could use disambiguation descriptions (and separate tags for two OCs under the generic tag), but I’m not very familiar with those characters.

Yes, that’s included. New, clearer guidelines are being written and finalised right now, but even before those kick in, we do expect AI generated images to have reasonable hand and foot anatomy, especially if these parts are displayed focally in the image. You can go ahead and report some cases you’d like staff to take a look at. If it turns out the images are fine, someone will get back to you and explain things, so you don’t keep reporting things that don’t actually need to be reported.

Yes, old AI stuff is exempt from these rules for their historical value.

I don’t think we have precedent to add disambiguation descriptions to OC tags (tag search can already find all OC tags with the same or almost the same signifying parts). So far I’ve only seen OC tags get descriptins when OC creators suggest them.
