I find it interesting that the Unity Crystals have some conservative subtext:

In The Movie, Sunny never even considered that there might be an Earth Pony crystal. The subtext of the Crystals is “Don’t get so wrapped up in other cultures that your forget the value of your own culture”.

With the show bible, the subtext is “Civilization collapses when you forget too many important traditions”.

IIRC Earth ponies had never had (known) magic before. That’s probably the reason.

What if Sprout is not only racist, but classist as well? He looks down on Sunny for not being as rich as him.

As someone who lost interest in TYT a long time ago (iirc the sea pony special was when i lost interest), are any of the unreleased episodes worth watching?

As in The blockywockys or Enchantment Under the Sea?

In any case, The Alicorn Path is the best of the post-ending TYT episodes IMO. (Animatic only, not fully animated)
