Rarity has a large bookshelf. Only second to Twilight’s collection. But Rarity rarely reads them. She’s a visual person. She only collects books with good covers on them.

She also likes to read books with pictures in them, a fact she is a little embarassed to admit especially to Twilight. And that’s why she likes reading children’s fairy tale books and sometimes steals from Sweeties just to see the pictures.

Starlight and Twilight are both powerful magic users but they have very different specialties.

They’re equal in some ways yes. Given their duel in the S5 finale.

Sometime in the future after a magical accident, Rarity gains “oracle” like powers or some sort of past-future vision.

Changelings went extinct by G5. Unlike most species of equines, changelings mixed with ponies result in a new and more advanced species: flutter ponies. Changelings can only be born with both changeling parents, but a a changeling mixing with either another pony or a flutter pony will result in a flutter pony. Being recessive, the changeling eventually died out, with flutter ponies being their descendants and their next stage of evolution first seen in S6 finale of FIM.

Starlight Glimmer if she were real would be German and her favorite subject would be philosophy.

She’d be the kind of German who would be into those angsty type of philosophers like Goethe (especially a particular novel about a guy who fell in love with an unattainable woman.) or Nietzsche.

Her favorite type of art is romanticist art especially the one with a man on a mountain looking at the great beyond.

Also for Starlight’s magic, it would focus mostly on emotion especially anxiety or rage. And a lot of it has to do with emotional release and control.

Teleportation is a spell that uses a lot of power. One reason unicorns dont use it often is that it drains a lot of your energy and makes you tired. Especially for soldiers teleporting can make you dangerously bulnerable and prevent you from using other spells for hours or worse days if you go too far.

I actually read a pulp story from the twenties called The Metal Giants of a scientist Detmold made a metal brain and the brain got so smart it produced and controlled a bunch of metal giant beings.

Three ponies from Ponyville earned the Pink Heart of Courage during the Storm Invasion, but Derpy was the only one of them for whom it wasn’t a posthumous award.

Most ponies cannot mesh with Nightmare forces. You’d need not only a particularly bad day or situation, you’d need something akin to a outright dark desires. Otherwise the nightmare corruption will fail. Is not like having “intrusive thoughts” is enough, they need to be prevalent and domineering. Otherwise the user assuming they don’t want to submit are liable to fight back the corruption and be succesful in the process.

Frankly I don’t like to think the user’s personality strenght isn’t relevant for corruptions.

When the changelings cornered Dinky and Amethyst in a blind alley in Canterlot (c.f. “Guardian”), and Derpy attacked the changelings, she was certain she was about to die, but knew she could not afford to relent if she wanted her daughter and sister-in-law to survive. Fortunately, she made it with only minor injuries.

Since Pony Link is canon, Lynels MUST exist somewhere in Equestria as yet another pony hybrid

Twilight could easily take over most lands thanks to the fact she made alliances with many of the strongest nations around.

She probably doesn’t want to but she could.
