Excuse me HOLD ON! How is a Dragon Ball fight actually this GOOD?! Actual Choreography? None of that Atatatata repeating frames and diseapparing and reappearing and ki blast spamming? No dragon rush? fighting with WEAPONS?!

DAIMA is COOKING! I ate my words. I was completely skeptical and now look at it. Daima giving us the OG Dragon Ball type of fights. It’s fun, it’s creative, and it shows Goku’s fight IQ.

Toriyama-sensei. Thank you. If Daima got this energy throughout the entire run (which, so far it actually does, consistently) then I can without a doubt say that DAIMA is definitely, without dispute, my favorite Dragon Ball.

Edit: ok look, yes there IS yelling powerup and ki-blast spamming and atatata but it kinda didn’t immediately go there and spent a good chunk of the fight doing really cool stuff.

People who read Tintin, Asterix, and anything from Moebius should be dubbed ouiaboos.

Dude I was thrilled to see Tamagami 3 block Goku’s power pole with his hammer’s pommel. He could’ve dodged, tanked it, turned around and smacked Goku away, but no. He had the situational awareness and expertise with his weapon to style on Goku there. Didn’t even turn around to look at the cool explosion the kid trying to hit him or anything.

I’m not saying DBZ fights are bad but yeah, it earned the reputation it has. But Daima is definitely showing the creativity it could/should’ve had all along.

That pommel-block-to-backhand combo was too clean. I haven’t been hyped about a DB fight in a long time.

The first half of the fight sequence (before it eventually becomes DBZ in the later half) was so refreshing to see in Dragon Ball.

Fauna from Hololive has confirmed that she is leaving and she says it’s because of disagreements with management.

I did watch a bit of Tintin animated series from the 90s it seemed cool.

I also hope to watch Spielbergs take on Tintin.

Oldish news, buy but Hasbro has announced that theywill be giving up on making their own movies, and will instead be relying on other studios paying to licence out film rights for their properties

After fifteen years, I finally got closure.

Hiruko The Goblin, the scene where MC’s dad, whom had gone missing following an incident in an archeological site got taken over by the movie’s equivalent of the Headcrab. The process looks so painful and violent, and the end result was so horrifying and bizarre, that I developed a phobia for a while.

It was a reverse-headcrab.

So instead of the crab replacing the host’s head so to speak, in Hiruko, the headcrab decapitates you and wear your head.

So instead of a human zombie with a crab head, with the intelligence of a crustacean, you get a human head with crab legs, with the intelligence and personality of the human host.

“Moana 2” has made $225.4 million domestic and $389.3 million worldwide in the box office over the Thanksgiving break. I think we’ve got another $1 billion movie for Disney this year.

There were lots of original movies that came out this year:

-Movies made by Blumhouse (Night Swim, Imaginary, Afraid, Speak No Evil)
-Movies distributed by A24 (Love Lies Bleeding, Civil War, Heretic)
-And waaaaaaaaaay more (Argylle, Bob Marley: One Love, Arthur the King, Late Night with the Devil, Monkey Man, Abigail, Challengers, Boy Kills World, Tarot, The Fall Guy, IF, Fly Me to the Moon, Longlegs, Trap, Blink Twice, The Substance, Megalopolis, Anora, Red One)

The problem is that they either got bad reviews or got overshadowed by other films from popular IPs.

I’m talking about Disney specifically, since they’re the ones who made a public statement about how they “NEEDED” to rely more on established I.P. if they wanted to make a profit.

Oh, and let’s not forget the fact that they explicitly told Pixar staff to keep queer themes out of Inside Out 2 (because of all the reasons why Lightyear failed, they just had to blame it on the queer representation).

Lightyear wasn’t bad because it had a couple of lesbos in it. Lightyear was just a boring movie. Hell, I nearly fell asleep the day I went to see it.
