You might be on the wrong video. This is just a 2009 test video of Friendship is Magic.

I’m assuming this is a test pilot made for the executives. If so, they really gave they’re all.

This has everything. A display of each character, great animation, character defining moments, funny gags and clever subversions.

Just this pilot is excellent and any exec would be a silly donkey uh no offense to reject this.

If this is real and a test concept, gosh dang it. Make a better concept! Faust had a gorgeous looking show bible for g4. And it definitely beat this cheap lazy project.

It’s not AI generated, there’s no obvious artifacts of something like that. It is likely just some sort of concept test though hence the intentionally low quality of effects and whatnot.

I think many of us who have worked with various metals have experienced their unique tastes and smells. As a tangible example, anyone who has removed rust from steel with a wire brush, wheel, or sandpaper, and (incidentally) inhaled the dust will know what iron tastes like, assuming it wasn’t done with water present. This happens in automotive body work, welding, and Celestia-knows how many other repair operations, given the ubiquity of steel in the modern world.

An interesting side note about the taste of iron: anyone who’s gotten a bloody mouth will recognize the similarity between the two. It’s also a way humans have evolved a way of detecting the presence of water in nature. Iron in freshwater is extremely common. I’ve even heard people say, “it smells like water here,” when coming upon a well or similar source, and the iron in the water is the reason. Our feet are also highly sensitive to ground moisture, another evolutionary trait, but I’m getting into the weeds.

Similar experience from childhood of putting pennies in one’s mouth (yes, gross, but it happens), or biting on aluminum foil (accidentally, usually), helps inform one’s “catalog” of metal tastes. Pennies/copper is relevant, because brass is an alloy of copper and zinc. Working with electronics as I do also helps, although it’s almost always accidental or incidental, like when a selenium rectifier goes up in smoke, or I put a tin-plated brass terminal in my mouth because I don’t (yet) have a third hand to hold a test lead, and I’m stuck behind a wall of industrial control equipment. LoL

Under Mommy Twilight’s Care

In was a nice day in Ponyville, in which the Alicorn Twilight was in her library basement, mixing around some potions. She was creating a special transformation potion right now and waited for a special friend of hers to test it with her. Twilight was almost done and hoping that her friend had accepted her invitation.

Moonbright Shine was finishing up reading the invitation Twilight had sent her. She quickly flew to her bathroom and washed her face. The princess wanted to look perfect for the visit. Moonbright then teleported outside. Before she flew away, she made sure to lock the gates in front of her palace.

Twilight was finished. She finally created her first transformation potion. She worked four or five hours on it and was glad it as completed at last. Now all she needed was her friend Moonbright.
“I hope she doesn’t take too long.” Twilight said impatiently, for she couldn’t wait to test it.

The pink alicorn flew at supersonic speed toward Twilight’s place. She couldn’t help but make a loop-de-loop and laugh. She just loved to fly like friend Rainbow Dash. Moonbright finally landed in front of her friend’s residence and knocked on the door.
“Twily!” She called. “I’m here!”

Twilight heard a knock on her door. She put the potion on the table and walked up to answer it. She opened the door and as she expected it was friend Moonbright Shine. She smiled at her and hugged her.
“I am so glad that you could come, Moonbright,” She said as she broke the hug and invited her in. “Thank you for coming so you could help me with the experiment.” She walked towards the basement.

“Anything for my BFFL,” Moonbright replied with a smile as she followed her to the basement. “So, please do tell, what does this potion do?”

“This is a transformation potion. In fact, it’s a lamia transformation potion. When I drink this, I will turn into a half pony, half snake hybrid. I need you to take some assistance with my body. Any other questions? Twilight hoped this didn’t freak Moonbright out too much.

“A lamia?! That’s awesome!” Moonbright said, jumped happily and enthusiastically. “I’m ready for it if you are!”
She then stood still and watched her friend.

Twilight smiled at her friend’s enthusiasm. It seemed like she wasn’t freaked out at all. Twilight then opened the bottle and took one deep breath.
“Well, here goes nothing.” She drank the whole potion in one gulp. She then sat on her flanks, waiting for something to happen.

Moonbright watched Twilight, waiting to see how a pair of hind legs turned into a snake tail.
“Any moment now.” She said, speaking like a movie narrator.
As the seconds passed by, Moonbright’s excitement arose within her.

Twilight didn’t even notice it at first, but suddenly, she saw her hindlegs and lower torso changing into very large snake coils. Her eyes widened as she got bigger and bigger. When her snake tail finished growing, she was at least 20 feet long. She raised her hoof in the air.
“It worked! It really worked!” Twilight cheered.

“Hooray!” Cheered Moonbright, flying up to her and giving her a hoof bump. “I knew you could do it!”
She then embraced her friend.

Twilight took Moonbright’s hug and hugged her back. She had to admit, being a lamia felt weird, but she still had complete control over her body. While she was hugged, she had her first idea.
“Moonbright? Is my upperbody still warm when you hug me?”

“Uh-huh.” Moonbright answered, nodding. “ A-okay.”
She then looked at her.
“Doesn’t it feel awesome?” She asked.

“Oh, yes, it feels good.” Twilight responded.
She made a few waves with her new coils.
“I was just asking, since snakes are normally cold-blooded. I guess it seems like lamias are not. I also don’t have a forked tongue, meaning I won’t lissssssssssp at you.” Twilight laughed, as she said her snake-like remark.

Moonbright giggled at the lisp.
“Tee hee, yeah.” She said.
She then flew down and picked up the end of Twilight and put it around her shoulders.
“Ooh, your scales sure are smooth.” Moonbright commented, stroking them.

Twilight giggled at Moonbright. She looked like one of those fashionists who liked to wear extravagant feather boas. Then she got an idea. She took her tail from Moonbright’s shoulders and wrapped some of it around her body.
“Just relax, Moonbright. I won’t hurt you.” Twilight reassured her.

Moonbright smiled.
“Of course, after all, I do trust you.” She said.
Moonbright had to admit that she liked the feeling of Twilight’s tail wrapped around her waist. She then had an idea.
“Oh, dear, me!” She said, pretending to be a helpless mare. “Somepony help me!”

Twilight was confused at first. What was she doing? Then she got it, Moonbright was roleplaying with her. Her inner scientist wanted to stay professional, but inner friend said to it, “Screw you.”
“Say now, what’s foolish little pony like you doing in my domain? I think you will make a perfect lunch.”
Twilight used her tail to brush Moonbright’s mane.

Moonbright giggled and continued.
“Oh no! Please don’t hurt me, snake-pony!” She said, pretending to sound like she was on the verge of tears.
She then pretended to squirm in the coils.

Twilight giggled. This was actually very fun. Maybe she could combine her experiment with the roleplay. She could feel Moonbright trying to escape her coils, but she was just too strong. Twilight lightly squeezed Moonbright in a gentle massaging way.
“Don’t cry, little pony. Calm down. If you promise me you won’t cry, then I promise I won’t eat you.” Twilight said.

“O-okay, Miss snake-pony.” Moonbright said, still acting. “W-will you let me go please since you’re not gonna eat me?”
Moonbright couldn’t help but smile and giggle. This was just too funny.

Twilight gigled as well. The next thing she wanted to try was what she looked forward to the most. Lamias and some other special snakes had a hypnotic stare which they used to pacify and control ponies. It was like in this jungle movie she and Shining Armor used to watch when they were younger. He always walked out the room during the snake scenes, because the snake creeped him out.
“Aww, don’t you want to relax and sleep a bit? You must be so tired.” Twilight as she acted innocent, not starting the hypnotic stare yet.

“Tired?” Moonbright asked, acting. “Why do you ask, Miss snake-pony?”
Then she returned to reality.
“Seriously though, I am rather tired now,” She said. “Maybe a small nap will do.”

Twilight heard Moonbright dropping the act now. It was fun while it lasted, but since she was about to hypnotize her, they didn’t need to act anymore. Twilight got closer to Moonbright’s face.
“Okay, Moonbright, just look deep into my eyes and trust me.”
Twilight’s eyes suddenly changed. Her purple eyes were replaced with an array of colorful rings that spiraled, trying to capture Moonbright’s attention.

The pink alicorn was caught by surprise. She stared straight into her friend’s eyes. A moment later, her brown eyes copied Twilight’s.
“T-Twilight?” She studdered.
As her mind fogged up, her body became limp in the coils.

Twilight saw how her friend’s eyes mirrored hers and how she became more relaxed. She was about to do a fangasm again, but if she did, it would interrupt the induction. She kept her cool and continued to stare at Moonbright.
“Shhh, it’s okay, Moonbright. Just stare and listen, stare and listen. It’s so easy to let yourself go. There is no need to worry. Just trusssssssssst in me.” Twilight giggled quietly. She always wanted to do that.

Moonbright began to smile.
“Trust in you.” She echoed, starting to feel sleepy.
By this point, the pink alicorn had fallen very deep into the trance and her went totally blank.

Twilight noticed the mindless smile that Moonbright had on her face, indicating that her mind was blank. Twilight was almost finished now, for there was still one more thing to do.
“Good, Moonbright. There’s no place safer than my coils. Be a good pony now and shut your tired eyes for me. You need to sleeeeeeeeep. Sleeeeeeeeeep.” Twilight said motherly, saying the word sleep with a bit of a demanding tone.

“Y-yes, Twilight.” Said Moonbright, sleepily smiling.
She let out a small yawn before shutting her eyes and falling into a peaceful sleep.

Twilight stopped the hypnotic flow in her eyes and they changed back into to her purple pupils. She took a look her hypnotized friend. She looked as cute as a filly when she was asleep. She was probably very happy and relaxed since she had such a large smile. Twilight began to gently massage the sleeping pony to relax her even more.
“Let the coils relax you, Moonbright. Sleep soundly in my coils. Mommy Twilight will take care of you.”
Did Twilight just say this? She was wondering to herself, but then she shrugged. It can’t hurt to have a bit of fun.

The pink mare nodded in her sleep and nuzzled in her friend’s coils, happy and hypnotized.
“Yes, Mommy Twilight.” She cooed.

Twilight found that werid. She knew that she said she was Mommy Twilight, but it was still weird, especially hearing it coming out of Moonbright. Twilight thought of something as she got closer to Moonbright’s face.
“You love your mommy, right, Moonbright? You would never disobey her, right?” Twilight asked, stroking Moonbright’s face with her hooves.

Moonbright’s eyes opened just a peek.
“I-I do love you, Mommy.” She answered in a distant tone. “And I would never disobey you.”
She then smiled and returned to her slumber.

Twilight began to like this more and more. Moonbright was as helpless as a filly and maybe she should be treated like one. It wouldn’t hurt her after all.
“Awwww, is my wittle filly hungwy?” Twilight asked her hypnotized friend, who was now seeing her as a motherly figure.

Moonbright opened her eyes just a crack again.
“Y-yes, Mommy Twilight.” She studdered.
It was true, the pink alicorn had a rather small breakfast that same morning because she was too busy preparing to see Twilight.

“Sssh, just call me Mommy.” Twilight gently commanded, blocking Moonbright’s mouth with her hoof.
She then looked around, wondering what she could feed Moonbright with. She then saw a glass of applesause and a spoon. She actually wanted to eat it, since Applejack had given it to her eariler that morning. She took the spoon and glass with her magic, scooped a spoonful of the applesause, and held it in front of Moonbright’s face.
“Make way for the friendship express, Moonbright. Say aaaaaaaaaaaaaahhh.”

“Aaaahh,” Said Moonbright, opening her mouth.

Twilight put the spoon into Moonbright’s mouth, feeding her like a foal. It made her happy feeding Moonbright like as if she was actually a little foal. Maybe she should have one of her own in the future.
“Good girl. Do you want more yummy applesauce?” Twilight asked, smiling.

“Yes please, Mommy.” Moonbright responded, nodding.
She was just so happy right now, being her “mommy.” The entranced mare couldn’t be any happier right, partially duo to the hypnosis.

Twilight’s smile became even brighter. She took another spoonful and continuted to feed Moonbright.
“Eat your food. You want to become big and strong, right?” Twilight asked, encouraging her.
The feeding process went on until the whole glass was empty.
“Is my little filly full now?” Twilight asked Moonbright.

Moonbright gave up a little hiccup, indicating she was full.
“Yes I am, Mommy.” She said.

Twilight smiled at Moonbright, giggling a bit at her little hiccup. Now she probably needed some sleep. Twilight thought about giving her a pacifier, but she didn’t have one. She had an alternative though. Using the tip of her tail, she slowly put it into Moonbright’s mouth.
“Now, I am sure that wittle Moonbright wants to take some nappies. Just suck on your little dummy and close your eyes.”

Moonbright smiled and sucked on Twilight’s tail as she began to fall asleep again. Her spiraling eyes suddenly became heavy and after a few moments, she finally closed them and went into dream world.

Twilight smiled once again as Moonbright sucked on her tail like a dummy and slept peacefully. She thought about leaving her like that for an hour or two and spend time writing notes down, explaining her experiments. She took a feather and some paper and scribbed some notes. She looked over at Moonbright from time to time, wondering what she was dreaming about.

As the princess slumbered, she dreamt of herself as an actual filly playing with her older brother, Guitar Strings. They were both playing her favorite game, hide-and-seek. She was hiding in her favorite hiding spot, which was under her bed.

Over an hour had passed and Twilight was finished with her notes. The other princesses will be eager to read about her experience. She then looked back again at Moonbright, who was still in her hypnotic sleep. She looked so cute and innocent that Twilight felt sorry for having to wake her up now.
“Okay, Moonbright. When I clap with my hooves three times, you will wake up from your trance.”
Twilight waited for a few seconds and then clapped her hooves three times very quickly.

The pink alicorn mumbled something and slowly flickered her eyes open.
“Unngh.” She moaned.
Moonbright then fully woke up and looked at Twilight.
“Oh, hi, Twilight.” She said with a smile.

Twilight saw the rings in Moonbright’s eyes disappear, indicating that she was no more under her hypnotizing power. Twilight gave Moonbright a big smile.
“Hey, sleepyhead. How do you feel? Do you remember anything?”

“I feel very refreshed.” Moonbright replied, nuzzling in the coils. “And the last thing I remember is saying I wanted to nap because I was tired.”

Twilight made a quick note in her head. It turned out that ponies who would fall under the spell wouldn’t remember anything from what had happened when they were hypnotized. Twilight broke her thought and looked back at Moonbright.
“Well, you kind of did. I put you under a hypnotic trance with my eyes. You know, just like the snake in that one jungle movie.” Twilight told Moonbright, making it a bit easier for her to understand.

“Woah, cool!” Moonbright said. “Now, that’s a bonus.”
She then giggled.
“And I remember that snake scene very well.” She said with a smile.

Well, Twilight thought, at least she wasn’t freaked out by the fact. Twilight giggled as well.
“Seems like every filly and colt watched that movie during their foalhood.”
Twilight unwrapped her from Moonbright. She was done with her experiment now and was about to “wrap it up”, pun intended.
“Well, the experiment is finished now. What did you think of it as a whole?” Twilight wondered, wanting to know Moonbright’s thoughts on the experience.

“I thought it was rather relaxing and amazing.” Moonbright said. “It makes me wanna be a lamia!” She added with enthusiasm.
She then began looking through some drawers.
“Did you make more of that potion?”

Twilight giggled. She knew that Moonbright was a curious one, so it was no surprise that she wanted to feel the same instincts of being a lamia. This time, though, Twilight had to say no.
“Sorry, Moonbright. I have nothing of it left. Besides, if you were a lamia, I couldn’t let you go out in Ponyville. You would scare everypony.”

Moonbright shrugged.
“Aw, well.” She sighed. “At least I got a free coil massage and hypno therapy, am I right?” She added with a giggle.
Moonbright then trotted up to Twilight and hugged her.
“I sure love having fun with you.” She said.

The purple alicorn hugged Moonbright back with her hooves and coils. It was a very affictionate hug, since it was between two very good friends. Twilight held her there for over a minute.
“I also love spending time with you, Moonbright. You’re a very good friend.” Twilight commented in a whispery tone.

I’ve been doing testing without the placeholder state plugin, and so far there has been zero noticable change, except for a decrease in blood pressure and no feeling like my brain is bleeding. In other words…

Do I hear you volunteering as a test subject~?

For Discord to be irredeemable, not have the misguided well-intentions behind his idiotic (the difference with Celestia’s using villains to test Twilight was it went wrong) as opposed to malicious plan and not have the remorse to risk his life/do everything in his power to fix things. (The writing problems like the copout on Grogar are completely separate from his morality issues.)

And yes Starlight was genuinely well intentioned about her town, truly convinced she was acting for the greater good compared to Cozy’s self aware evildoing, before anger caused her to lose site of them, her town would not have been so quick to forgive her if she wasn’t meant to be genuine. That it did a bad job of portraying Starlight such is a separate complaint from what’s being discussed.

Fair point about Cozy’s intended actions not being that bad/worse than other villains. My question is why did the Mane Six confronting her over it in the S8 finale fail to come off as an attempt to get through and redeem her, given it was supposed to show her as irredeemable enough to warrant punishment? Why did it not come off as the redemption rejection like Chrysalis did which made her fate far more accepted?

If Starlight and retroactively Discord’s and others red mentions were handled well such it came off as deserved, would we have been so critical about Cozy’s fate?

And again you’re ignoring my question of what would it take for Cozy to come off as irrdeemable as intended. Starlight and Discord accidentally achieving that in the eyes of many shows in can be done. (Give her enough backstory to subvert sympathy? A body count?)

My common event seems to have worked. Just one problem… if a princess is aflicted with “tied up in underwear” and “tied up and nude” one doesn’t cancel out the other. But I think I’ve taken after that. I guess all that’s left are two tasks:

Edit 2: It turns out when you verbally threaten a program to run very long nails through its fucking fingers, shove drillbits in its eyes, then liquify its children and force it to drink them and change a few numbers in the plugins it does what its told.

Edit 3: The game has decided it doesn’t want State C to work at all. Just out of spite. Have you ever seen the movie “Assault of Precinct 13?” I’ve adopted the mentality of Street Thunder: I will get this thing working or die trying.

Edit 4: I’m genuinely getting worked up and angry. I’m pulling myself away from the project for today. THIS ISN’T OVER.

I accept the criticism Discord merely broke even karma-wise after that, leaving the question of if freeing him did more harm than good in the long run. What more would he have to do/go through before his forgiveness would be acceptable? (I’d make clear he intended for their redemption like he himself, it be pointed out Celestia has used similar secret tests with rouge villains before, and maybe agree not to do such again depending on how trustworthy it can be made.)

So let me tell you about Project Human Shield black dude in horror movie Bulletsponge Sacrificial Lamb better you than me Baron Society just pay someone to come up with another name for this shit Pincushion: This is a way to do EVEN FURTHER testing in Princess Rescue for Sala’s Escape. It is a copy of Sala’s Escape that I use to test things so I don’t wreck Princess Rescue. ANYWAYS-

So I discovered that the placeholder states plugin DOES, in fact, work, just not the way I thought it did initially. I created a polybius square of sorts to map out what states react to what, but it seems the reaction is limited. So here’s the new plan: the placeholders are part of a hierarchy. Clothed gives way to Underwear and hypno, nude, and bondage, Underwear gives way to hypno, nude, bondage, naked gives way to suck/fuck, drone, and bondage. None of this makes any sense, I’m sure. But to me it makes crystal clear sense… kinda. So now I have to rip out the mechanical guts of all the states I’ve made for Princess Rescue and do ’em over, this time with hierarchies in mind.
