What I really want is for one of the diamonds to fall out of her tiara and Spike to find it and almost eat it. That could at the very least provide some fun reactions from both of them.

I imagine there’s times she’ll still be flat-out mean, but more and more it’ll start being because somepony else provoked her rather than her starting it.

Yeah, it’d be more interesting to have her gradually develop her “Heel-face-turn” more, like Discord did in the Tirek & Smooze episodes.
 
The episode kinda helped show her it’s much more nice to be nice, but I imagine she’d probably still have some flaws.

And yes, it was rather heartwarming.

I like the idea of Tiara still being a bit tactless, but still trying to be a better pony, and on good terms with the CMC.
 
It was actually quite cute when she refered to them for the first time as her friends.

That’s true, but her understanding of the social status of other ponies is derived from her mother, who should be ashamed of (among several other traits) the oversight regarding just whose little sisters she’s jeering at.

I’m not sure what the arguments presented in this topic were but this is very simple.
 
The Cutie Mark Crusaders, who do not automatically get a share of whatever wealth their sisters / sister figures have, are themselves “poor” regardless.
 
Even taking into account their family wealth and not individual wealth, neither the Apples, Rarity, nor Rainbow Dash are likely to be as well-off as Diamond’s family (whose surname is Rich), ergo from her perspective they are still “poor” because everyone less rich than Diamond is poor according to her.
 
Also, Diamond didn’t even know the Crusaders were friends with Twilight, so her interpretation of their family wealth isn’t necessarily accurate.

It really depends on how you choose to define the term. Rarity and the other members of the 6 have virtually zero dedication to their actual jobs due to requirements set forth by the Elements (in whatever iteration) always taking precedent. Despite this, they have shown no signs of trouble staying in business, only advancing. Applejack was appointed the matron of her family at one of their reunion episodes, meaning that all of the Apples’ collective wealth and property is effectively hers. Rarity opened her business’s second branch in the nation’s capital and can expect commissions from the Princesses on a regular basis, which in turn will fuel purchases from all of the Princesses’ fans. Twilight is a Princess, has one for a sister-in-law, and another for a mentor. Pinkie Pie is the prima party pony in a town with frequent festivities (and is potentially as smart as Twilight), so I think her continued residence with the Cakes is a matter of preference rather than necessity. Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy are the poorest of the Mane 6 (technically), but the former of the two is pending a commission into the most esteemed flight officer corps in Equestria.
 
On top of all that, the fate of the world kind of hinges on all six of them being able to have or get their shit together, not that that means anything in pony society.

She’s certainly got the ego and the short temper down pat. However, this begs the question of whether or not Silver Spoon is Betty Cooper.

I think she has the potential to be the Veronica Lodge of MLP.

This is the beginning of a beautiful friendship.

My prediction from Season 6: “Reformed” Diamond Tiara is going to be as big a pain in the flank to the CMC as “reformed” Discord is to the Mane 6.

Still, just owning a business doesn’t equal rich. I’m sure the show staff hasn’t planned detailed story how Rarity manages her business, if she had to take a huge loan, how much is the rent etc.  
She doesn’t seem to live luxorious life or anything. Living in the same building where her store is too. Gems were early established to be very common in Equestria and everypony seems to have some and they can hand them to Spike for a small chore and they know Spike eats them.
 
Anyways, my biggest concern is that while Rarity’s generosity has been questionable before, saying she’s rich just really makes her undeserving to be that element. She didn’t offer money to fix the town hall. If Applejack really was about to lose the farm, wouldn’t her really good close friend offer to get it back if she really had a really rich friend who is also the element of generosity? So the school had pretty much broken and rotting playground equipment for a while now. If only there was someone rich and generous. Especially if one of the students was the rich pony’s sister.
 
Even more, Rarity has always wanted to be known and popular. Hey what about a huge ad campaign? What an easy way to achieve that. Soon everypony knows about her and her dresses. Oh wait, that would require huge amounts of money too.
 
So in the end there’s not really anything that would really make Rarity rich and even if one wants to think that, it goes more in to the direction that one has to wonder how the hell Rarity got to be the element of generosity.

TWO very successful businesses. BOTH featured in popular fashion media. This also doesn’t speak about any other business deals she’s made over the years interacting with the high society of Ponyville and Canterlot, and the wealth of gemstones she has and can easily obtain.  
She would be rolling in cash.

Owning a business does not mean one is wealthy. I don’t think any mane6 is poor and they are doing fine financially. While Rarity is not rich and doing just fine like the others, she could appear as poor in the eyes of Diamond Tiara who is used to high living standards.

Pretty much how I see this going. Though Tiara is likely being genuine; it’s likely quite the novelty for her to have friends outside of the uppercrust.

Apple Bloom’s not poor. She’s just financially challenged.
