Those are some pretty classic episodes. A favorite of mine is one, hardly anyone talks about, “The Alien from L.A.”
Cathy Ireland was actually kinda “adorkable” to me in it, for some reason I kinda adored her, despite her silly (yet kinda cute) voice.
While I know some fans are a bit divided on the new Netflix revival, (nothing new, heck some still hate the Mike Nelson, or Sci-Fi Channel eras) it still has some pretty good episodes too, and they’re just as enjoyable as the Mike & Joel episodes to me.
I know some dislike them occasionally referencing memes, or current pop-culture, and such, but actually that’s very true to the original Joel & Mike seasons. Seeing as they always referenced current ‘90s pop-culture jokes, and current events, and such (stuff many people/kids probably don’t remember) which were basically the memes of back then, so it’s really nothing too new.
“Carnival Magic” especially stands out to me, even though I don’t see much love for it, I never tire of rewatching it. Might be one of my favorites of the new MST3k revival.
“Sweet freedom!”

Robot Holocaust, The Beast of Yucca Flats, Overdrawn at the Memory Bank, Hobgoblins, Final Justice, Mitchell, Beginning of the End, The Giant Gila Monster, Devil Fish, Devil Doll, Kitten With A Whip, The Beatniks, Horrors of Spider Island, The Creeping Terror, Hercules Versus The Moon Men, Night of the Blood Beast
And let’s not forget the one with the infamously long name: The Incredibly Strange Creatures Who Stopped Living And Became Mixed Up Zombies
To be fair, some of these were so-bad-they’re-good, and many of them were perfect riffing material, making for golden MST3K episodes.
“Space Mutiny” was another good bad movie too. The MST3k ep’ is another fav’ of mine. (It’s on Netflix, I believe.)
Yeah, “Alien from LA” actually wasn’t bad. I like how cleverly it is actually Kathy/Wanda who’s the “alien,” as she seems that way to the people whom live underground.
Maybe once I get a new computer/scanner I will. (Why not? People ponified Torgo.) Maybe I’ll ponify Ortega too. :P
“Where I come from- …What is that over there?!” (Almost everything she says sounds cute. lol)

Found it in some used junk store that had masses of VHS tapes. Also own Space Mutiny on tape, too, which is ideally the best way to watch these 80s things. Aline from L.A. at least tries to be a movie, even if the budget and obvious South African origins don’t really help.
Please draw ponified Wanda Saknussem!!
Really? Didn’t know it was on video, though the MST3k version is on an official DVD, I hear. The director of the movie was apparently a good sport, and appears in an extra for the DVD.
Kathy has kinda a dorky cuteness about her. Her voice is so cutesy, it’d actually suit an MLP, lol
(Now I’m tempted to draw her ponified lol)
Glad I’m not the only one-actually have it on VHS and watched on its own, it has its charm, as does Kathy.
I also can’t help, but find Kathy Ireland kinda “adorkable” in it, (dem dorky glasses) including her famed “dull surprise” expressions. lol

“Hey, I went to school with a ‘Farouk Alatan’!”
That is one of my favorite episodes from the show X3
Or Werewolf, or Manos: Hands of Fate, or Laserblast, or Pumaman… or Touch of Satan…
Do I need to keep going, we watched to watch the movies get mocked.
Sandstormmmmmm…. Sandstormmmmmm!!!
@Ichijoe
I actually liked most of the movies MST3K showed.
Knows nothing of the majesty, that is mystery Science Theatre 3000…
And not everything that appeared was really that bad… Save Castle of Manchu. There was no redeaming that mess…
Was this made before it existed or something?
