Description
at the trailer this scene looks funny, but at the movie is just… ;_;

Not incidentally. That was quite deliberate. They wouldn’t have put so much emphasis on Twilight falling apart from all the pressure otherwise.
I disagree. I did not think the movie was serious. But I agree that Twilight was a poor girl in need of a hug. I really thought the movie incidentally made her quite a sad figur, being shunned and outcasted all the way till the climax. But then again I think the climax of the thing could have put even more emphasize on it to actually drive home the point on this being a story about someone being bullied and what consequences it can have. Unfortunately, somewhere in the last five minutes, part of that fuel was gone.
I do think that Friendship Games was significantly darker than either of the movies before it. Equestria Girls was a somewhat shallow and silly movie about how cool friendship is, Rainbow Rocks was a big song-filled showdown between the main six and the Dazzlings, but this movie was a story about one character trying to understand things and getting the short end of the stick over and over until she finally snapped. Most of the other characters made some kind of mistake that pushed her further down the line, even Sunset, but a lot of them were also acting out of frustration or fear rather than malice so they weren’t pure villains either.
It did turn out okay in the end, but it was no easy road getting there, and pretty much everyone was put in harm’s way before things were resolved.
It gets pretty melancholic at times.
Actually, glasses are more resistant than what you’d think.
Heck, the lenses aren’t of glass anymore in most cases — they’d get scratched at worst.
Of course, the frames can still break, but still…
At any rate, I didn’t find this as funny because I knew this was practically the beginning of the end — Twilight can’t jump over the haybale, she’ll probably screw up worse (and behold, she does).
And nothing came of that. It was too cartoony. But when she stood before the crowd and began falling apart from the pressure, that’s what really hurt.
She would have broken her glasses.
The crying? No. Crying is not so bad. She smashed her face on the concrete.
yeah where she legitimately tears up and starts breaking down as things keep going wrong… ive been there.. it SUCKS. AJ being AJ really helped her and she just up and hugged her.. very cute.
The more pain there is the funnier it gets. XD
There’s a reason why the comedy and misery masks are so relevant.
Nah. A lot, if not all of comedy is based on misery.
