I didn’t like it because it was rushed and the random plot twist of her becoming an alicorn was actually the main reason for the episode, making the entire rest of the episode pointless.

I actually agree with you I thought that episode was pretty bad definitely one of my least of the series the whole episode was just singing which I find irritating the cutie mark scrambling thing made no sense and showed the characters didn’t really know anything about their friends I just didn’t like it.
 
Though I did like the part where Twilight became an alicorn funny since that seemed to be the reason most people didn’t like it but that was the one thing I liked about the episode.
