The Buick GNX had the full green light from the bosses of Buick to level its stamp on the automotive industry forever. The result was taking an already potent and car-world-altering Grand National and moving it to a mountaintop level of performance, pushing horsepower to nearly 300; rocketing the car to 60 mph in only 4.7 seconds, faster than any other car available in the U.S. in 1987. So much can be said about the GNX, but the bottom line is this: there were only 547 built
