I find all the horror stories of people hurting each other, or their TVs with the remote kinda funny. (One guy even accidently embedded his remote into the TV screen he threw it so hard accidently.)
Luckily I never had any Wii accidents.
I guess it helps I mostly have Virtual Console games on my Wii. (Though, I do love me some Wii bowling.)

i like the notion that the strengthened straps and rubber sleeves for the wii-motes aren’t made to protect the wii-mote, it’s to protect everything else FROM the wii-mote.
I don’t know, my Wii-mote never attacked me. I have it properly trained.
