I remember when they used to call that “a finished product”. Not everything has to be a live service game, with endless streams of content supported by endless streams of revenue.
Not really…? They’re just gonna stop producing more content. As long as players are still on there, the game is fine.
Well, yeah, people who make an announcement before a deadline will get a sudden reaction, no matter the subject in question. :3
Same here. However, with fans like bronies, I expect we’ll be seeing one of those last minute dashes in the final week or few days, where everyone goes “oh shit, it’s not there yet!” and there’s a sudden influx of more money.
Me too. :)
In 2011. XD
A) Sunset Shimmer is irreplaceable
B) She wasn’t introduced when the game was started.

It DOES sound better when referring to the game casually.
Not unless one must explain why they would call it Fighter Herds every time they do.
Does the compromise of “Fightin’ Herds” being short for “Them’s Fightin’ Herds” in the same “Smash Bros.” is short for “Super Smash Brothers” work for you?
Actually, I kinda agree, just removing the “Them’s” would be an improvement. But it also ruins the pun.
@OneOverTwo
It can actually be kinda confusing to, like when you’re trying to search for something on “Google” but end up with something like a bunch of Pixar or DreamWorks CGI-animated movies instead. (Or vice-versa, if the movie/game you’re looking for, isn’t popular enough.)
I imagine many people wanting a good recipe for “ratatouille” have had trouble finding ’em. (Good movie, but I never much liked the trend of “simple titles.”)
I personally disagree with minimalism being the key to remembrance. A key, sure, but not the only one.
If anything, I’d say the pun is making people remember the title more.
They’ve been litigated once. Probably want a name that won’t trample anyone’s toes.
Well guess what, none of us are on a marketing team so y’know. Sorry if I’m not a professional game namer. But clearly, neither are they. The pun is fine, I don’t care about the pun they used. To me it just feels really clunky and its names like this that people have to use acronyms for everything.
Minimalism is the key to remembrance and a way to make sure it catches on. Regardless, I was really wounded when I heard that Mane6 was going to be remade into something thats exactly the same, but completely different, so I’ll admit I’m pretty salty about the new project. I’m mostly mad because they were shut down RIGHT before Fluttershy got to see release.
I think simpler titles like “Stampede,” and such sound much worse frankly, no offense. Also not all of ‘em are “Rodeo” animals, so “Rodeo Throwdown” wouldn’t work well either.
They could just shorten it to “Fighting Herds,” but honestly I don’t mind the full title, and I kinda like the silly pun.
