Trying not to sound blunt here, but these two pictures have slightly different angles. The first one she has her head a bit more lifted, so her horn appears to be shorter while it’s not. Though I could see your issue, mostly in The Cutie Map I thought her horn got longer. However in the end I don’t think that is the case.
To add to that, from what I understand, it gets just a midge longer each episode too
Nope! actually Twilight’s horn at the end of MMC is only slightly larger than it was as a unicorn, see?
