Recently, but unfortunately, it is a Cutie Mark Crusader episode. Though, it could be a twist that we have yet to know about. Still, since this season is about Cutie Marks, we have a strong mentioning of cutie marks in the Daring Do books. (Marked Thief of Marapore)
Do people still not know the production schedule of the show? After 5 years?
Voice acting is recorded 8-12 months before the episode airs. So no, this is not for any S5 episode.
This isn’t South Park where they can make an entire episode, start to finish, in 1 week.
If the reason for the present break is to run pony while the target demo is at school (instead of on summer vacation), which has been suggested by some, then it makes no sense to add more breaks to push the holiday episode out beyond late Nov or early Dec. (no one puts out new programming after Dec 15 generally).
I think only Scare Master is getting the pushover. Can’t imagine Hearthbreakers causing another massive break.
Well if we’re getting a Christmas episode and a finale, we would be getting several breaks. They’ll be putting on unnecessary breaks just to drag this pony train until late December. We’d probably won’t even get a finale until we’re in 2016.

Unless its redoing a last few lines, its doubtful. The VAs are in the studio several months before animation starts, and while “Crusaders…” is still a couple months away (presuming no more breaks), it’s got to be at Top Draw right now for final animation production.
