I just got this email from “Build-a-Bear Workshop”…pretty sure “Muffins” is not her name.
The only permanent Build-a-Bear in the country AFAIK opened in Eastland last Thursday. Vinyl’s there, but that’s it for pony. Even Zing’s not selling ponies anymore, I got the last Funko Mystery Mini (a Sweetie Belle), which might even be the last one in the whole country.

Usually by people who have absolutely no connection to the source of the outrage, and frequently a tenuous understanding of the issue itself, but I digress.
You are objectively incorrect when you say that there was no moral outrage over the name “derpy” being spoken. I suggest you look through the “derpygate” tag to educate yourself.

Correct. In this day and age of social media, moral outrage can turn into a twitter shitstorm in a matter of hours, causing loads of negative PR for the company.
But in Derpy’s case it never happened, so the point is moot.
Moral outrage can become (and has) a legal issue.
I love it when people confuse legality with moral outrage.
It wasn’t her.
Hasbro isn’t pissing off tumbrinas but in exchange is pissing off the show’s fans.
That’s the only thing Hasbro can call her without pissing off fans or tumblrinas.
It’s the best Hasbro can do legally.
