one of the worst Canadians in recent times
Stephen Harper is basically Sauron, man– I don’t think any other maplechewer need apply for the position of Worst Canadian. Shatner was an unambiguously self-aggrandizing asshole for a significant portion of his Trek-and-afterward career, but he seems to have left most of that behind him now; I don’t think Takei and Koenig even have a grudge against him any more, and they sure enough had reason to.
Restrictions like those are the reasons why many English voice actors don’t get enough credit and respect, unlike those in one weird but famous country…
Also, The Shat is one of the worst Canadians in recent times, the worst is always Bieber.
Which will never happen because Blum is not a Vancouver-based actor nor is he famous enough outside of voice-acting to justify getting around that first barrier :P
Honestly, can’t we just for now be happy that William Shatner might be getting a part rather than whatever random name we can throw against the wall?
There was that one scraggle-headed mare at the fancy garden party in Canterlot. Other than that, they don’t really seem to bald it up until they get Mr. Wattles old.
I don’t think Ponies age that drastically. They don’t seem to bald until they reach a very old age. Obviously old kind of age.
Not bald, balding.
Ponies go bald?
Though, I’d rather see him as a character in the Equestrian military, maybe in a Shining Armor episode? Shatner as an old, seasoned (if a bit reckless) veteran playing against Shining’s young, idealistic (if a bit stiff and by-the-book) persona. Maybe he could even give some advice to Shining like in “Generations”.
And next season we’ll have Kate Mulgrew voice the surpreme commander of the Royal Guard.
I still would’ve preferred Patrick Stewart or even whoever it was that played Sisko (I forgot the actor’s name), since you know, Discord is voiced by John de Lancie, a.k.a. Q.
Check the Twitter feed– it’s legitz. Shatner identified as a Pony fan on Twitter a couple months back, and calmly deflected all the resulting flipped tables and tripped balls like a pro; if Big Jim can get it arranged between DHX’s Voice Directors and Shatner’s agent, we gettin’ us a second Star Trek alum on the show.
Oh, I see.
Shatner voiced the older of the two possums.
is this true or is big Jim messing with us
IN THE JINGLE-JANGLE MORNING!!!
If they’re gonna get him on, they might as well go there. Because of course.
Also, he should do a spoken word version of Pinkie Pie’s History of the Wonderbolts rap. Because reasons.
