I sweeten with honey instead of sugar nowadays. It’s healthier _
coffee-flavoured oatmeal
I feel just awful for all those poor unfortunate souls out there who never discovered the perfect Student Chow of heavily-sugared oatmeal made with coffee and cream instead of water.
I love it.
Thanks–glad I can keep my Middle Earth Geek Certification valid.
It does indeed say “Trotting Traveler Cafe”. The first row on the right says “Today’s specials”. The second row is too small to read.
The text does contain some minor spelling errors (the large number of different modes for writing English makes it hard to truly call anything an error though). The two most notable are “café” being spelt with an under-dot which represents a silent ‘e’ and “special” being spelt with what looks like the tengwa for ‘ch’ rather than ‘sh’.
shoves a pot and a kettle together Now kiss.
Perfect.
I don’t really want to learn the language itself, I just want to be able to properly pronounce Y maent yr mynyddoedd yn canu, ac y mae’r arglwyddes yn dodin in my head.
The mountains are singing and the Lady comes
beautifully said.
Let’s not forget bread-bowl soup.
Welsh isn’t a “language”, it’s a self defense weapon against Englishmen.
I’ve never really bothered to try and learn a second language. I can see why you find Welsh a pain. I guess it takes dedication to learn any language.
yeah welsh is one of the… more complicated languages.
Sindarin is a lot easier than Welsh!
Tengwar, not Hindi.
Might be “Trotting Traveler Cafe” then; I suck at figuring out the vowels. I f I had drawn this, I would have called it the “Prancing Pony.”
Tripping Tramping Cafe?
I see the “tr” but the first word has an o and the second one ends with “lere” or “eler” depending on whether you chose Quenya or Sindarin rules.
The cafe does check out if it’s Sindarin, I would have used a different tengwa to represent the “k” sound, though. Calma instead of quesse, to be precise.
The big sign phonetically translates in English to “Tripping Tramping Cafe.” Can’t read the smaller sign, though.
