I guess it’s like the uncanny valley, except because we know and love the adorable Apple Bloom, and she’s still adorable and pony, instead of being freaky it’s just somewhat confusing.

It’s just something about upright, bipedal Apple Bloom that makes people feel weird. Just look at the comments for

This image makes me feel very confused, because by being bipedal she’s like, halfway in-between being human and pony, and I usually think of humans her age very differently than her. Probably because I don’t have much experience with humans her age outside of them being silly and random, meanwhile she has some real character depth and stuff :q
 
Aaaah, it’s so weird. I think of her like an adult a lot because in many of her episodes she kind of thinks and acts like one but she’s not! >.< Or maybe kids are just more adult than I realize, probably. I don’t have much experience with them! I’m the youngest of my siblings.
