That ‘best viewed in manga to campy presentation’ line above was referring to JoJo. I don’t sometimes watch One Piece, any version, (cough) Impel Down arc (cough). I can watch any anime, short or long, that I deem compelling or surprising. Also, I watch them for the credits. Gotta remeber the names of seiyuu for future reference.

That line is so absurdly subjective, I don’t even know where to begin. _
 
If you want to have a fanboy moment with how One Piece should be referenced more in the MLP fandom because “its more popular”, be my guest. Me? I can’t fathom why you are telling me these things.

And yet, nobody seems to care about that at all when giving less One Piece references in the pony fandom then Jojo references. I never even mentioned popularity being a factor, which it so obviously isn’t in this case. Not all MLP fans are One Piece fans, and not a thing about the number of fans it has worldwide is going to make One Piece a better fit for MLP fans.

….what? The new anime only started 3 years ago, and the anime takes pauses between series. No anime wants to be caught in a trap where the dubs come out so quickly that it catches up with the original too fast. And of course its going to take longer, Jojo is filled with names with complicated copyrights.
 
Additionally, the original OVA anime DID have an english dub. And while that isn’t mentioned much, the memedic nature of Jojo pretty much thrived as the internet grew long before the new anime started up.

Needs more magical girl anime references, except obviously Sailor Moon and Madoka Magica.

Perhaps, but reaction images from One Piece are sometimes too cartoony even for MLP. Animaniacs maybe, but OP doesn’t seem right for FiM. (shrug)
 
Jojo, on the other hand, seems almost frighteningly fitting for the MLP genre. Great art, a bizarre but easy-to-get-into quest, and the idea of a combination manliness and fabulousity being the basis of awesomeness is nothing new to either MLP or Jojo. Its pretty much a match made in heaven.

I think we should stop using JoJo to represent reactions to certain things.
 
The manga/anime genre is very very rich, but you’re basically fixated on less than ten manga/anime throughout your lives.
