Shame when artists bleach their underpants after getting successful. Half the best French art wouldn’t exist if they did that like Americans do.
I’m the owner of this OC, and one of the R34 artists of our community.
A friend of mine asked me if I was interested in getting this piece from Andy, and was very clear on that he wasn’t involved/didn’t approve of NSFW content and that it was to be strictly a safe little thing.
For that specific purpose I had a SFW ref prepared specifically for good people like Andy and other SFW artists to avoid inconveniencing and putting them off.
We do not wish to force our type of content upon them, or anyone for that matter see.
I can assure you that while my OC does have a great deal of NSFW art to it (as is in my nature as an artist of that sort, and by demand from my customers and fans) it was not originally conceived and designed with sexual themes in mind.
It is simply an OC like any other, which just happens to have a higher ratio of NSFW works to it due to association.
I absolutely respect Andy’s view on the kind of content we produce, as it is after all not in everyone’s tastes, and am still greatly appreciative and honored of receiving this piece. :)
Oh, you don’t have to be sorry at all.
On the contrary, thank you for clarifying this once and for all!
He very strongly sides against the overt sexualization of the characters. While he has been known the include some innuendo in his non-published art (con sketches and commissions or whatever), outright sexual themes have always been outside his comfort level. It’s true that some of Andy’s work prior to MLP contained adult themes, but he has ceased creating that sort of art entirely, and does not plan to ever return to it.
The sketch in this post was a request from a fan for what they presented as their OC. Andy, being entirely unfamiliar with the source material, had no way of knowing that the character was from a sexually themed fan creation. Had he known, I assure you that he would have declined to draw the piece.
Sorry for being long-winded on this one. :) I just wanted to take this opportunity to make Andy’s position clear on this subject.
Wait, really?
I stand corrected then. I guess he wants to keep his ponies safe from naughty stuff?
Nice to have you around, anyway. Say “Hi!” to Andy for me!
I’m his wife, Alice.
Proof?
That is a HUGE, big time no. He’s not in any way ok with it.
Well, considering his job as an official pony artist I doubt he can voice a favorable opinion, but given his artistic past I’d expect him to be more than fine with it.
I dunno if Andy Price has ever voiced his support for pony porn, but… okay?
… he would probably approve!
