I watched Do Princesses Dream of Magic Sheep with a pal of mine yesterday. Diamond’s reaction was pretty much my friend’s reaction to the scene where Filthy Rich tried to buy off the house monster. I promptly did an impersonation of Filthy Rich saying those lines and practically killed her. In jokes are so much fun.

I told a friend of mine (the aforementioned friend from above, actually) about your headcanon and she said it made perfect sense: she had a bipolar aunt who was often quite similar to Miss Tiara, behavior-wise.
Most people don’t know what Bipolar Disorder really is. I did look it up. It’s also very difficult to diagnose, especially in children since the hypomania can be mistaken for normal hyperactivity.
That wouldn’t surprise me, honestly.
Seems to support my headcanon that she’s bipolar.
If that’s true then the understated “enemies can be friends, if they find some reason to try” message was cleverly subtle. And also negated by the end, but…
@Background Pony #C480
Or Pinkie said “everyone” to save time, but didn’t actually dream of every citizen of Ponyville. A lot of them didn’t show up.
On a side note, I kinda wish the red dragon Pinkie hopped by had been part of the shared dream.
Pinkie dreaming of someone was a requirement for the Tantibus being able to invade their dream. Luna bypassed that by making a shared dream of everyone in Ponyville.
Unless they were in some other town or not asleep at all, they were in the dream somewhere.
Yeah, the filly needs to lighten up.
@lasty
She & Spoon also seemed a bit nicer in “Twilight Time.” Sure they were brown-nosing just so they could be buddy-buddy with the new princess, but at times they seemed genuinely friendly to the CMC, (like when Tiara put her hoof on Scootaloo’s shoulder, or when they were trying to “help” make the CMC more popular, and had a pool party for them alone) so they might’ve actually enjoyed the CMC’s company.
(But both snobs are to proud to admit it.)
She seems like a very bitter, angry pony - despite being so young; she’d probably be cuter if she were happier.
She showed that side in Ponyville Confidential, too. It seems to come out when others make things work out well for her and makes me think that she’s appreciative of things ponies do for her. Except perform acrobatics on her behalf, I guess.
@Crystal Neighybánya
It would have been neat to see her use her tiara like Sailor Moon or Wonder Woman.
Though, didn’t she say she thought of the whole town? Though, obviously they couldn’t animate every character.
Y’know, I thought it was kinda cute when Tiara complimented Pinkie Pie in song in “Pinkie Pride.” It seems to hint there is a “nicer/cuter” side to Tiara that she doesn’t let come out often, or likes to hide.
I don’t think Pinkie Pie thought of them, so they would be one of the few ponies who didn’t fight the Tantablus.
Probably themselves tanning by a pool, with drinks, sunglasses, with the CMC being their disgruntled/grouchy maids serving them.
I don’t think we saw either DT or SS in the Ponyville shared dream scene, did we? A pity; it’d be interesting to see what they dream of themselves.
True, sure he was scared at first, but afterwords Mr. Rich was quite badass.
Just put in a word checker before applying it to an image.
Just the way it should’ve been!
