you’re relying on ABC logic and assumptions to prove that celestia is powerful  
what matters is FEATS  
for example  
this is a feat: lifthing and throwing a oil tanker, an object weighing, IIRC 120,000 tons a DIRECT and MEASURABLE demonstration of power  
 
as of right now, celestia has no feats, beating sombra doesn’t count because we cannot measure it, and sombra has no combat related feats either. This may change as of right now, the only IN-verse explanation to celestia NEVER saving the day {aside from lesson zero} is that, frankly, she’s a weakling  
but tbh that only ADDS to her character, I actually LOVE celestia, she’s one of my favorite characters and I feel that if she were really an overpowered godlike being, it would just turn her into a big troll

yeah yeah, she conviniently ANOTHER relatively featless character offscreen for plot purposes, that’s not a feat, that’s flawed abc logic  
that’s like saying spiderman could beat superman because spiderman beat firelord {a character more powerful than superman} because of plot  
for someone hyped up to be a god, she has a considerable lack of feats

Didn’t “A Royal Problem” make it clear Celestia is a lot more powerful than we’ve seen, but she’s terrified of actually using that power? And she’s also actually seen combat, since she was at the very least involved in fighting King Sombra.

what FEATS does celestia have that would even put her NEAR mountain level?  
the only think she’s ever done feat wise is…… I actually can’t remember the last thing she actually did  
she lifts the sun sure, but lifting the sun=/= destructive power  
and very few unicorns have combat based magic  
save for discord and the pegasi, equestia actually has very few advantages over the yaks, while the yaks are supposed to be extremly battle hardened  
the yaks would cause many many casualties unless discord gets involved
