Sometimes humor is humor, sometimes it’s self-righteously screamed at people for thinking in terms other than “it’s humor so don’t think about it”.
Because Spike isn’t a freaking real child. He is a cartoon dragon. Seriously just because I find this funny it doesn’t mean I’m going to start throwing babies out of windows or something.

It’s because one of the people who doesn’t care about perceived Spike abuse enjoys watching people who do care about it blow up over stuff like this.
Either that or they just thought it was funny to see Twilight chuck Spike. Sometimes humor can just be humor.

I still don’t see how it being a cartoon makes it funny?
It’s weird because everyone claims Spike gets ‘mistreated’ by the writers, yet when there’s a scene of his kind-of-big-sister-kind-of-mom catching him in a cute way people go and turn it into Spike abuse for fun.
oh look, someone who can’t differentiate between a cartoon and reality!
I really hope these people never have children, if they think an innocent child getting hurt is in any way funny.
They’re probably the same people who laugh at those terrible “funniest home videos” of children seriously injuring themselves.
