You’re kidding right? Twilight and Spike share a bond unlike any other in the show. They care about each other, Spike would follow Twilight wherever, and I don’t know where Twilight would be without him.
 
She comforts him when he feels bad. She tells him to stop reading comics and to sleep. She gives him baths. She takes him to the doctor. She tells him to stop eating ice cream. She wipes his tears She lets him go on a quest but follows him arround to make sure he doesn’t get hurt. She mourns their old home with him.
 
Spike is not only Twilight’s best friend, he is her life companion. The fact that his biggest ear is losing her should tell you enough.

The Crystal Empire considers him a hero? Then might I remind you who was with him and trusted him to take the crystal heart? Twilight. And what his deepest fear was in the same episode? Twilight ever leaving him.
 
And in Equestria Games, who realized Spike was struggling and assisted him and then helped him feel better any way she could? And reminded him of how heroic he was? Twilight did.
 
And who cared for Spike since he was an egg? Who spent her whole life with him through good and bad? Twilight did. Who considers him family? Twilight does.
 
It’s ridiculous for you to even compare this. Cadance and Spike are merely aquaintances, hence bowing down is a sign of formality. Why would Twilight and Spike who are like siblings have need for this kind of stuff?
