Ditto. And I say this as someone who… well, “hated” is too strong a term, but I was disappointed and felt it’s one of the weaker episodes of the series so far.

I thought it was nice to know not everyone hated this episode.

Nice cherry picking, OP. You’re totally not ignoring the comments that said “WORST EPISODE EVER SEASON 5 IS RUINED 0/10.”

You mean opinions on the episode aren’t unanimous? Mind==blown!
 
Seriously, though, while I thought it was a fairly weak episode compared to a standard MLP:FiM episode, I don’t have any problems with people who can overlook its faults (or who didn’t notice them in the first place).

I stopped following EqD comments closely sometime around season 3 because they were getting more and more hateful and vitriolic, though I suppose it’s possible they’ve reversed course since then and gotten into over-the-top mindless praising. The few times I’ve poked around this season and season 4, they seemed on the whole more positive than Derpibooru and /mlp/, but there’s always a few people dumping on the new episode and anyone who liked (or even tolerated) it.

Way better than Slice of Life, but Spike doesn’t get the dignity he deserves yet again. Not quite as bad as Spike as your service, or his small part in the Breezies, but not great either.  
I’m sad as I love Spike, but he’s always treated badly, made to learn a lesson, and doesn’t really get much out of it but bad luck, things going wrong, and losing his IQ for no real reason. :/

I don’t like this episode so much… but I could understand because some people like it, so I’m ok with this :)

With the last few 10/10 episodes of season 5 the bar has been set higher, so even an average episode is gonna be a huge drop at this point. So when we see a bad episode like this, it is gonna feel like a 0/10.
 
Worse episode of season 5? Without a doubt.  
Worst episode of any season?.. Oh wow, it might be the second or third worse. I guess I was wrong to think this was about the bar being raised. It really was just bad.
