Another thing add eyes lens flare? Or whatever they are called, in that way eyes won’t looks so bland (you know that white dot iris)
@EbenLynx
Oh, if you want something outside of that overdone echo try to maybe some very quiet creepy music, like you know classic baby crying, or some gore screams, you can always play it as joke, guest say did you heard that and lyra with innocent voice what, no its must be your imagination.
Oh wow, that strange for sure something like that should get more than only mine criticize, but ppl probably think its joke/troll and won’t say anything constructive.
Ok eyes, uh you could just made something like dark ring around iris in style of hmm eclipse ? I’m not sure how that would work out in end but for sure its look way better than just that kind of eyes.
Voice hmm if you aim to slighty comedic, its very hard to say but maybe something similar to skeletor or other petty villain like invader zim, just not so high-ton because its painful to listen.
Lower the echo effect its way to overdone look at for example how Chrysalis is made (english vs Polish echo, polish way overdone echo) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vf97Ygr5t0E like you see this is more like you talk in square room with absurdal echo instead of “second voice”
Those teeth are second thing what make it look strange especially that you show 2 completly different way of showing them (quests vs lyra ) you can make it little smaller but for example make her sometimes talk from different body part (like true abomination where there is no one mouth) and make her closing it by hands showing that she don’t control it well or something like that
perma :3 is other thing but I get it’s your artstyle
Of course its just suggestions
Thanks for the feedback! That’s actually the first critique I’ve received on this project. Though, I’ll have to admit that I actually rushed the animation a bit. In fact, half of the reason I chose that style of eyes is because they’re easier to animate. But, you’re right that they do look cheesy… and while “slightly cheesy” is what I’m aiming for, I’m sure I can do better. As for the voice… I’m really just working with what I have, and trying to achieve something creepy, but also somewhat silly.
Could you suggest a style of voice that would be better for her? I plan to revamp her before the next episode, so I’m open to any other suggestions as well.
But lyp sync and fluidness of animation is superb
