I’ve seen worse
Because Carousel Boutique is where “Stinking Rich’s” first shop used to be; at the beginning of the arc Rarity actually agrees with Applejack until Filthy Rich points out that, because of the location of Carousel Boutique, if it is decided that the shop was the first building in Ponyville that the commemorative plaque would be placed next it and attract business from tourists (which would be important for Rarity since the local Ponies generally only wear clothing for special occasions). Which is why she is the one in charge of the “shop” side of the argument.
To be fair it is a matter of the differences between Rarity and Applejack’s way of viewing things that causes part of the problem: Applejack looks at it in terms of heritage and family pride and that acknowledging the past is more important, while Rarity looks at it in terms of who the plaque would benefit the most (which is her own business since Sweet Apple Acres is probably the most well established business in town and sells a necessity, while Carousel Boutique is quite recent and sells a luxury that many local Ponies are not interested in).
….Not to mention Rarity isn’t the only Pony to be bribed into one side of the conflict; Pinkie is actually neutral and ends up being recruited to Applejack’s side purely because the latter would revoke her zap apple pastry related privileges if she didn’t.
Africkingmen
To be fair, that wasn’t exactly hard to do.
Well, it’s certainly better than the first half, you gotta admit that.
Yeah, the ending was decent, but the first part really was awful. Still, we got a working ending, which is more than I can say for the previous arcs.
Mainly cause it doesnt have anything overtly bad to laugh at. It just feels meh in general, lots of filler. The solution in this panel having absolutely no buildup or foreshadowing whatsoever isn’t helping.
2nd half isn’t terrible, but nothing really stands out as good. Like a bland tortilla chip.
I like it too. MUCH better than the second half of The Good, The Bad, and the Pony in my opinion.
I actually like it a lot better honestly. It’s well paced, put together and the conflict is resolved logically and well enough.
The problem is that it feels too much like it’s trying to ‘fix’ the last issue, which was stupid and mean spirited so it hurts the second one.
The should make sure the plot isn’t stupid to begin with instead.
She’s going to deny the atrocities of the ponyville civil war until she dies.
Rarity isn’t getting the plaque so much as the building she owns is.
It is official.
And oh god Rarity’s head.
cronyism
Structure in town?
This whole 2nd half was a giant load of padding.
