Description
I was on I tunes and discovered the official Mlp page… The banner is the sloppiest thing I have ever seen. I find it personally insulting that I, as an amateur artist, could do better.
Look at this, the eyes and legs are weird, spikes neck is busted, Fluttershy’s wings are just gone, and the shadows are a on a layer above the rest of the ponies.
Someone did a half assed job here. This is me calling them out on it. I could do better. I would for free for them, just for the experiance.

These replies take me literally only a few seconds out of my day to make, and I don’t consider it a waste of my time. Ever.
That was on purpose, I was leading you on.
You may call that a waste of my time…
… But pestering someone about minor spelling errors on a fluff post seems like about as productive a use of ones time.
Have a good one.
It seemed like you were implying you were the uploader. But I guess that’s Background Pony #5189.
Hmmm? Oh I’m not the uploader of this particular image.
I still see the word “experiance”. I suppose if you can’t figure out how to edit it, it’s not that big of a deal. Oh well. (But it’s an important skill to be able to do on Derpibooru if you upload images a lot.)
Did it work?
You click the pen/pencil icon in the description itself. It’s only visible to the image uploader or, I assume, mods and admins.
Whenever I hit edit tags or source it doesn’t give me the option to alter the text.
How do you change it?
It sure seems like you really don’t want to change it. The fact that you don’t want to fix it is just as silly as the fact that you not wanting to fix it irks me.
Will it bother you that much otherwise?
Do you really want me to change it?
And I suppose it’s too much to ask to make one tiny edit to the description?
I would but I have a very large amount of work to do, I want to upload the rest of my series by the end of this week, and there is normal work along with that.
My spelling is usually pretty bad… Part of it is the dyslexia, part of it is my poorly executed public elementary school education, part of it is my big hands on my touch screen, part of it is that English has never been my favorite launguage all together.
And yet, proper spelling, grammar, and punctuation are still very important skills to have in life, even if you’re not being paid. You can correct the error now that you’re aware of it.
I’m unpaid, and not hired to spell.
I agree that Hasbro is sloppy and lazy with their banner here and with other promotional art thingies. But I just thought it was kind of ironic (is that the right word?) that the description also has a mistake. The image uploader can edit and fix it, though.
I will just have to make peace with that.
.That was the first thing I noticed, it’s not just her. Rarity, pinkie pie, and fluttershy appears to be hovering…
You just have to slide the shadow layer behind the ponies… or just don’t even bother… If your not going to put in any effort, why not just use asset stickers. If they had I would have probably not cared.
Sloppy, yes, but even that may have an explanation: Fluttershy was originally conceived without wings (as an import of Posey from G1).
What gets me personally is the shadow layered in front of Derpyjack.
I can’t pay rent with the respect I would get from correct spelling.
@K_A
You make some good points… But fluttershy is missing wings and the shadows make no sense. Even if you are using a pre fab background and assets, this is sloppy.
The people who put together the assets for that page may very well know what they’re doing, or would deeply prefer putting together a more interesting banner, but were forced to use the stock assets because of branding policy and strict time constraints. The simple, stark reality here in the US is with very few exceptions, if you do not have a nice “nest” from your family, you are condemned at best to occupy a massive bulk of your waking life with simple-minded, soul-crushing cubicle farm labor; you are systemically denied a real education incorporating the liberal arts, to say nothing of financing a risky career in the arts.
iTunes encoding is a bit crap, anyway. Here’s to getting high-quality Blu-rays or next-gen 4K home releases eventually.
Paid of what, money, or respect?
Guess I’m not perfect either… But I’m not being paid.
