What a pleasant surprise to see Lullaby For a Princess released the day after I found the concept art. With the art still fresh in my mind I get to see it transformed to video before my eyes. It’s heart-wrenching and gorgeously animated. Well done.

I watched this animation (it’s been so long since I even saw the animatic that I forgot about it), and loved it.
 
It’s not perfect. Nothing is. And I’m usually not a fan of overly maudlin pony music that is so obviously Pony, but everything just fit together so well here. Warpout clearly put a lot of effort into this, and it was worth it.
 
Incidentally, I’d like to chime in on MLP vs other Western cartoons. Before discovering MLP in March 2011, I pretty much only watched anime (or anime inspired toons like Avatar and Teen Titans). MLP renewed my faith in Western animation that had been so shattered by the one-two punch of juvenile “adult” toons like ATHF, Family Guy, Drawn Together, and yes South Park; along with poor-quality kids fare like Spongebob, Flapjack, and Fairly Oddparents. If you like any of those shows, that’s your prerogative. I hate them.
 
As far as Adventure Time goes, I feel guilty that I don’t like it as much as MLP. It’s a fun world with pretty good stories - at least what of it I’ve seen (that’d be the first four seasons) - but I just don’t like Pen Ward’s art style. Steven Universe is a wonderful cartoon with a fanbase that manages to be worse than ours - quite a feat. I blame tumblr.
 
So… yeah. Impressive creative MLP fanbase is impressive and creative.

I haven’t followed their endeavors lately and of course it would be exaggerating to say that they all are bad. It’s not like we haven’t had any petty dramas with others. I think it’s the tumblr in general that’s the culprit in these cases.
 
Anyway, in the most recent-ish drama I remember they had was about someone from ponyfandom planning to set up a site similar to EQD. They didn’t like the idea of having ponyfans in SU fandom because ponyfans are terrible because of porn and whatever other reasons they could come up with. This sums it up pretty well >>853398

imagine if the majority of bronies all bitched and moaned at each other, the show, the staff and everything and are never happy no matter what,

they are all aggressive to newcomers and never welcome anyone.

Like we lived through, Twicorn, EG, Flash Sentry, destruction of library, Spike at your Service, The Mysterious Mare Do Well etc. So many bad things happens and we still here, loving this show as always.

Its true though, the SU fandom is infamous for that already. That isn’t to say SJWs are the only whiny moany group on the net, hell the Chans that hate them so much are themselves full of prissy moaners, but in the case of the SU fandom it’s SJW Tumberina’s who have poisoned it.

Warning, sappy and maybe not so competently.
 
Before I found this fandom, I always watched only anime, and you know what quality can hold anime in it’s hands.  
How I found fandom? Simple, ponies were everywhere! And I was like “Why the hell they are everywhere, what so special about this “ponies”?  
I still remember my awkward watching of first 3 ep. of mlp - “OMG, what am I doing with my life? This is soo childish”  
And then there was magic a pure magic of pony universe, alive one. This show is literally alive.  
Maybe show not the greatest, and in visual side can’t beat any anime, Avatar or other projects. But those shows for entertain, MLP for living in it.
