Speaking of stuff that got missed I have absolutely no memory of this airship being in the episode! Or in any fan works! Maybe I just had too much coffee but this is royally freaking me out!

your current filter.Agreed. This was an interesting bit of worldbuilding they snuck in, and it came and went so quickly and with so little comment or fanfare.
Also, with that door in the mountainside, it’s not hard to imagine that Canterlot mountain could have a network of tunnels for public hoof traffic. Cool to think about.
