I see dead ponies...

They should make the final Christmas episode an homage to it’s a wonderful life. Spike could be feeling despondent because he misplaced the money Twilight was going to use to buy gifts for everyone and Discord could fill the role of Clarence and show Spike what Equestria would be like if he was never born.
