You assume that they didn’t. There’s a lot of crap that they don’t teach you about suffragettes, such as the lies that they regularly spread or how they rushed to defend a woman that bashed in her newborn baby’s skull. Putting her to death would be, and I quote, “a far more horrible infanticide than was the killing of her child.” Then there’s the equating women not being able to vote with slavery, ignoring the reasoning behind women not voting (namely that only men were supposed to serve in the military or pay taxes, the two primary burdens placed upon citizens in return for the right to vote), and the list just goes on.
 
Feminism has been like this from the start. The internet has just aired that dirty laundry that so many women and news outlets were willing to sweep under the rug. Decades- and centuries-old lies that people just believe to be true because they were taught that they were. But actually going back and fact-checking these assumptions finds a much different story.

stil I find it strange that so many “feminists” found this issue so pressing and important compared to other social causes and still blamed the bronies when said “feminists” did far worse shit (need I mention the pink devil and the hundreds who supported her? Yet not one stood against even after.. well you know the drill).
 
And looking at all those anti brony preaching images, its hard not to imagine the actual activism that might have been done if they had focused on pretty much any real social issue, instead of their own hatred and egos.
 
But keep ignoring the points I make and look for something that will let you instantly dismiss what I’m saying, that is the “activist” approach even if it isn’t the feminist one.
 
Can you imagine if the Suffragettes operated this way? They’d probably be flipping out over guys reading Jane Austin books or something

But yeah, simple question, if “men watching my little pony” is that high on a “feminist” list of priorities, what can be expected beyond slacktivism at best, cyber bullying at worst?
 
I have to wonder the kind of activism people who post “kill all bronies” and the like were involved in, and if feminism would be diminished in any way if they had never been born.
 
I mean if I were an activist, I’d wait till the world was basically a utopia before tackling such pressing issues as men watching a show for little girls, if I were to tackle it at all. Though if I were a useless slacktivist, i’d probably jump to it immediately then seek a label to give myself some legitimacy

I’m sure you also spend plenty of time parsing the membership and donation records of the NGOs operating in Nigeria and Uganda trying to free the girls through off-the-books methods in the wake of governmental disinterest. I have no doubt at all that it couldn’t possibly be a matter of you shamelessly using the atrocities committed against children as a talking point to further your own agenda, with no concern for their suffering whatsoever beyond your attempt to use it as a club against anyone with the audacity to suggest that maybe society should stop treating women as lesser creatures in the 21st Century. No, clearly, your concern and devotion to the cause of equality is simply overflowing, and this is not at all a well-documented dime-adozen boilerplate misogynist tactic of facetiously feigning concern while pretending that if any one person opposed to sexism hasn’t saved the entire world and solved all of its problems before lunchtime, then nothing they do or say counts and we might as well go back to the 19th century. Today I was wondering if internet slacktivists talked this much about those kidnapped girls in africa that they might have been rescued. I’m glad internet activists these days are focusing on the things that count. I wonder if internet feminists think the suffragettes would be proud of what they accomplish?

I’m not sure what soccer or gender has to do with anything, but given that they mixed up lines between Applejack and Rainbow Dash, it’s far more likely they don’t actually watch the show and are just referring to having seen something like the teenage hoodlum Dragons swimming in lava in Season 2.

Characters like Twilight Sparkle and Pinkie Pie explore adolescence…in their twenties…like some of the show’s fans.
