Uhhh when did these happen or anything close to these?

(Tagged S05 spoilers just in case)
Something about wishing he had a wife who would just shut up and make him a sandwich.
What the buck are you talking about?!
You assume that they didn’t. There’s a lot of crap that they don’t teach you about suffragettes, such as the lies that they regularly spread or how they rushed to defend a woman that bashed in her newborn baby’s skull. Putting her to death would be, and I quote, “a far more horrible infanticide than was the killing of her child.” Then there’s the equating women not being able to vote with slavery, ignoring the reasoning behind women not voting (namely that only men were supposed to serve in the military or pay taxes, the two primary burdens placed upon citizens in return for the right to vote), and the list just goes on.
Feminism has been like this from the start. The internet has just aired that dirty laundry that so many women and news outlets were willing to sweep under the rug. Decades- and centuries-old lies that people just believe to be true because they were taught that they were. But actually going back and fact-checking these assumptions finds a much different story.
@TexasUberAlles
Take it to PM and stop shitting up the comments.
Next post from either of you is getting a day off.
so many ‘‘feminists’’
Dude, I already shot down all of your “points”, try to keep up. All you’ve got– all you’ve ever got– is a bunch of straw feminist paranoid fantasy where you take a handful of douchery you saw one time someplace and then dishonestly pretend like its some kind of universally-applicable WORST! POSSIBLE! THING! EVER! intrinsic to the very concept of supporting the social and political equality of women. It’s, like, your one and only joke.
Oh, and as long as we’re talking about “ignoring points”, you never have answered the one about you despicably trying to use the suffering of children for your own political gain, with a patently obvious complete lack of concern for their actual suffering.
stil I find it strange that so many “feminists” found this issue so pressing and important compared to other social causes and still blamed the bronies when said “feminists” did far worse shit (need I mention the pink devil and the hundreds who supported her? Yet not one stood against even after.. well you know the drill).
And looking at all those anti brony preaching images, its hard not to imagine the actual activism that might have been done if they had focused on pretty much any real social issue, instead of their own hatred and egos.
But keep ignoring the points I make and look for something that will let you instantly dismiss what I’m saying, that is the “activist” approach even if it isn’t the feminist one.
Can you imagine if the Suffragettes operated this way? They’d probably be flipping out over guys reading Jane Austin books or something
Nah, brah, you’re trying to pretend like a superficial non-issue from half a decade ago is some SUPER IMPORTANT THING RIGHT NOW, and that’s pretty much all you got. I mean, I guess a generous reading might allow “also trying to pretend like that’s the only thing anyone is talking about ever” to the list, but it’s still just the same pile of hay.
Nice dodge
Ask that straw feminist punching bag you carry around with you like a security blanket to help you flip some pages on your calendar, bro; that was a Real Big Deal For Real for about fifteen minutes, four and a half years ago.
I have to wonder the kind of activism people who post “kill all bronies” and the like were involved in, and if feminism would be diminished in any way if they had never been born.
I mean if I were an activist, I’d wait till the world was basically a utopia before tackling such pressing issues as men watching a show for little girls, if I were to tackle it at all. Though if I were a useless slacktivist, i’d probably jump to it immediately then seek a label to give myself some legitimacy
Sure, dear loyal supporter, the Great Male Hope here shitposts in a two month old thread as part of an ongoing campaign of NOT AT ALL SEXIST DON’TCHA KNOW shitposting on a cartoon friendship horse image booru, but I’m the one with “over-the-top aggression” when I slap his ignorant bullshit down. Maybe if this admin team ever actually gave a damn about their own site rules instead of for some strange reason always looking the other way when this particular constant derail topic keeps coming up it wouldn’t be necessary, but sure, I’ll totally get some results by reporting it, that always works so well with this crap.
@Background Pony #2762
Sorry you can’t be bothered to pay attention, you brave hero you.
Pretty clearly he didn’t actually read what he was replying to.
i’m almost convinced he has templates for this stuff.
Just a question: do you have these breathless walls-o-text ready to go, or do you hand-craft each one on the spot?
Why don’t you just report the post that triggered you so as off-topic trolling and be done with it? Cuz nobody’s got time to read that mess, even those of us who occasionally might agree with you in spirit but facepalm at your over-the-top aggression.
And of course you, oh champion of egalitarianism, are completely qualified to make sweeping handwaving motions because of all the time you spend on the parts of the internet where people still are talking about ways to pressure their governments to do literally anything to help the kidnapped girls. Obviously you haven’t just based this on shouting into whatever pro-discrimination echo chamber you usually frequent and hearing no dissenting voices from the mutual appreciation society gathered therein. I’m sure you also spend plenty of time parsing the membership and donation records of the NGOs operating in Nigeria and Uganda trying to free the girls through off-the-books methods in the wake of governmental disinterest. I have no doubt at all that it couldn’t possibly be a matter of you shamelessly using the atrocities committed against children as a talking point to further your own agenda, with no concern for their suffering whatsoever beyond your attempt to use it as a club against anyone with the audacity to suggest that maybe society should stop treating women as lesser creatures in the 21st Century. No, clearly, your concern and devotion to the cause of equality is simply overflowing, and this is not at all a well-documented dime-a
dozen boilerplate misogynist tactic of facetiously feigning concern while pretending that if any one person opposed to sexism hasn’t saved the entire world and solved all of its problems before lunchtime, then nothing they do or say counts and we might as well go back to the 19th century. Truly, Brutus-you are an honorable man.By the way, what have you done lately to promote the cause of equality and/or the Brave Male Race whose flag you keep waving?
…And, of course, necroing a two month gone thread on a completely unrelated subject was the perfect place to once again trot out your little “fix it all right now or you’re a failure” speech.
Amen, bro.
My username is inspired by a simple question. How much of a feminist can you be if “dude’s watching a show for girls” is on your list of problems you need to tackle?
The most reasonable suggestions I’ve seen so far:
Actually it’s been pointed out to me that it was RD’s statement from “Daring Don’t” , the author of this got characters mixed up.
Lava demons, however, … I’ve yet to see a suitable explaination for where that came from.
We don’t know their ages for certain but that’s what the show implies.
When has anyone working on the show ever said any of the main 6 were in their 20s?
But I think they were referring to Applejack’s ‘I didn’t learn anything! I was right all along!’ quip from Super Speedy Cider Squeezy.
I’m not sure what soccer or gender has to do with anything, but given that they mixed up lines between Applejack and Rainbow Dash, it’s far more likely they don’t actually watch the show and are just referring to having seen something like the teenage hoodlum Dragons swimming in lava in Season 2.
