Description

The author writes:

For my most ambitious edit so far, I decided, hey, there’ve been a few strips referencing My Little Pony: the current series, its fan fiction, even an earlier series. But so far I hadn’t (as of the date of submission) seen one referencing either movie.

This is an attempt to rectify that.

I took one panel from each comic, trying not to use the same comic twice in the same SRoMG strip, erased all but one word of dialogue from each, and put them together to make the first part of the lyrics to the opening theme of Equestria Girls: Rainbow Rocks. Why didn’t I go further in the song? Well, the word “rainbow” occurs only once so far, and it’s bad enough I had to kludge it to get its second occurrance in the song. I had to do similarly with “friendship”, as it had not yet occurred as of the date I searched for it.

Also, if it helps, this is pretty unique amongst my SRoMG submissions, so you won’t see this kind of thing from me again. (It’s just too bad this is still the only one of my MLP-related SRoMG submissions that’s been published. No guarantee you’ll find them better, though.)

I preferred “Garfield Minus Garfield,” even Jim Davis loved it. (So much he allowed a book compilation of it to be made.)

I must add Garfield looked kinda scary in 1978.

Square Root Of Minus Garfield used to be interesting. At some point it degraded into “Let’s make song lyrics out of panels.” Somehow it’s degraded even further. And here we are.
