“Pressure Cooker, I know how weird it is for me to be saying this particular string of words, but… are you SURE this is safe!?”
Actually, she’d be safe. That’s a pulsejet. The mouth is full of narrow flapping slats, like Venetian blinds, not spinning turbine blades. The cycle is:
There is a small amount of inwards suction as the remaining explosion gasses cool and shrink. Some pulsejets can run without forward motion. But it’s nothing like a turbine. And even if she were sucked onto it, the fronts of the slats aren’t in motion so she would be prevented from entering, not ground up like a turbine. Her head would block the air intake so the slats would shut, and the next cycle would be over-rich and unable to detonate. And even if it did deflagrate, the slats would be shut so the explosion would go out the back and with zero air entering there can’t be a second cycle.
i just couldn’t resist using logic, even thought its just cartoon.
also i’m a fan of plane ponies.
Sensible logic? In my art? Especially a picture involving Crash Dive? You must be new here.
You try strapping the frame of a V-1 onto a pony sometime, compromises have to be made P:
Actually that’s the joke here, the fact it’s an insane design for a jetpack. The artist and I were joking about story ideas for this character, one of which eventually came down to trying to get her airborne Kerbal Space Program style.
see that big hole behind her head ? that’s the engine, its sucks in air and blows it out to gain speed/power.
if this pony turned the engine on right now, her head would be sucked in and killed her.
