Description

Cmon Twilight you can do this!!! Twilights thoughts were many, but she had to push everything else out of her mind so that she could focus on her spell. She didnt understand how or why, but somehow these plants knew how to suppress her magic. Had they always had this incredible ability, or did they somehow adapt since their last-run in? How was that even possible?
Her focus was shattered once again; her would-be spell fizzling at the tip of her horn as the vines coiled tighter around her. Every second was getting more precarious than the last as her breathing became more labored and her focus all the more difficult to sustain.

Fluttershys struggles werent helping matters either, as she was constantly kicking her legs and squirming to get free; this caused the both of them to swing precariously to and fro. Worse, she could hear her friends muffled cries for help, which caused both her heart to sink and her own panic to rise. They wouldnt be in this predicament in the first place had she not encouraged Fluttershy to go into the Everfree with her in search of rare herbs. The plants had basically used Fluttershy as bait to capture her, which again showed a level of intelligence Twilight thought beyond the capabilities of mere flora.

But it was dawning on Twilight that this was no mere flora. They knew exactly what to do to capture them both, and how to ensure neither of them could escape. For what purpose, she did not know, for they didnt seem eager to devour them. Instead, they seemed more content with tormenting them; keeping them both just out of reach of their snapping maws while simultaneously coiling more and more vines around them. For a moment, Twilight cursed her eager reading habits: Had she not delved into her foal sitter’s secret reading stash, then the grasping plants coiling around their nether regions would have seemed far more innocent.

Twilight began to wonder if there was a higher intelligence controlling them; it would explain much. However, she didnt have the luxury of time to consider such things, as the vines were getting tighter still, and her only hopes of escape fleeting. Before long, they would both pass out, and then what would their fates be?

Not lunch, she hoped.

Just so you know, I straight up copied that story from the (now defunct) source description. Any typo, grammatical or style error is radiantrealm’s fault, not mine.

Fluttershy’s struggles weren’t helping matters either, as she was constantly kicking her hind legs and squirming to break free. This caused the both of them to swing precariously to and fro. Worse, Twilight could hear her friend’s muffled cries for help, which caused both her heart to sink and her own panic to rise. They wouldn’t be in this predicament in the first place had she not encouraged Fluttershy to go into the Everfree with her in search of rare herbs. The plants had used the butterscotch pegasus as bait to capture her, which again showed a level of intelligence Twilight thought beyond the capabilities of mere flora.
But it was dawning on Twilight that this was no mere flora. They knew exactly what to do to capture them both, and how to ensure neither pony could escape.
