Nope there is a reason why spike is better then flash because they’ve been friends for life and twilight would never train him for the world and actually twilight would never do anything to hurt him because she loves him just as much as he loves her same goe for the rest of the mane 6.

why the heck would you want Sunset to hook up with Flash Sentry again? He’s such a loser, even if it was her who used him and dumped him when she was still evil, she deserves better than him. Also, she’s a pony and he’s a human, so ew.  
I hope they bring her back to the pony universe in the 3rd movie, she’s too awesome to be a human and they can do so much with her character as a pony.

Tough. I’ve spent about three years wanting Spike to be used for half a dozen things that will never happen. The unsought opportunities with Flash are nothing.

The difficult part in this whole Flash Sentry business is that the most interesting thing about him (ship-wise) is that he’s Sunset’s ex.
 
Frankly I’m rooting for some kind of redemption thing where she “wins him back” so to speak, like he takes renewed interest and pursues her… or even better (but unlikely), figures out that she doesn’t like him and previously only acted out of fear/jealousy during the events of the first movie.
 
I want him to be used to tell an interesting relationship story; like that hipster pony from last season.
 
I doubt this will happen though. This makes me sad.

Personally, I don’t really care one way or the other for him. But from what I understand, some people just feel he’s shoehorned in or some sort of cardboard character, which describes a lot of background ponies, but most of them aren’t thrust into the spotlight as a sudden shipbait.
