So, after feeling inspired by Sidens AU in which the Mane 6s life-styles and personalities are swapped, I decided to take my own stab at the same ideafocusing on Rainbow and Twilight.
Some discussion with my fans, and bam, I sketched this. (Needs color but damn that takes forever).
Rainbow Dash is now Aurora Glider” or just Dr Glider. A medical researcher (and physical therapist) specializing in pegasus wing anatomy, she is driven to finding ways to restore the ability of flight to those who have lost it due to injury or were born with disability. Her primary patient is Scootaloo.
Her bookworm demeanor can make her a little awkward around strangers, but she is known to be genuinely caring of others, especially her patients, developing an almost big sister like bond with the younger ones.
She is also an ornithologist, at least as a hobby, even though it often overlaps with her career.
Twilight Sparkle is now Starfall, a promising young competitor in the MMA (Magical Martial Arts) League. Much is expected of her, as she is the only student of the legendary and enigmatic Master Celestia.
Starfall already has a reputation for using magic in creative ways to augment and supplement her impressive combat-staff skills. A stage name The Purple Comet seems to have stuck, after taking out a local champion, Trixie Lulamoon, with a signature move that is now her namesake.
Starfalls success has made her rather cocky, a trait her master disapproves of thoroughly.

Just got into Korra myself, and I have to admit you did a wonderful job here with Twilight, and that insperation really paid off here. Also glad you kept her a unicorn here. Only when she becomes the avatar can she gain those wings.
Hmm… if Pinkie is fire, Rarity is water, Applejack is earth, and Fluttershy is air, what would Rainbow be? Lightning is a subset of Fire. She’s epic Lightning!

The wings are definitely larger here, though more from me just being inconsistent that any conscious reason. I like how they turned out though. And yeah, gave her glasses because of the timeless trope of “glasses = smart”. Not a thought put into that XD
You’re right in sensing some Korra in Starfall. Definitely had her on the mind when drawing her. I mean, hey, martial artist + magic powers; The shoe fits. As for the origin of the scar, no specific idea as of yet. I’m certainly open to suggestion on that.
First off, absolutely incredible and unique name with Aurora Glider. Maybe the best ‘oc’ name I have heard in a very, very long time. I can see her going down this route if she decided to channel all of that asskicking into her mind. And this may be the best wing anatomy picture you have ever drawn, in my view. You can see all of the feathers, the curvature of her wings are gorgeous, and I like how you’ve made them just a pinch larger than you normally do. Almost angelic. Sure, they might be annoying if you applied practicality to them, but from an art perspective, they are gorgeous. Thick. You can even see the outlining bones supporting the wings as they curve.
Out of interest, why did you decide to give her glasses? To completely flip her character?
As for Starfall, once more an incredible OCish name, you once more knocked it out of the park with where she would go if she had been injected with a massive dose of Dash level hormones. Dem thighs, for one. Those abs, for two. Maybe the best abs you have ever drawn. I also love how you can make them having hooves for feet so natural looking anatomically. It… ‘feels’ right when you draw it. Some people can butcher it. Also, dat short Twilight tail. And dat Dash hair cut with still her flat locks.
Do I sense some Legend of Korra in Twilight? I think I do~
