Well these do look like just any background ponies. Only a small fraction of people in this fandom follow the comics, therefore most might not immediately recognize them as staff OCs. The staff OC ban only applies to Hasbro Studios staff members right?
Wild Fire’s cameo was in “A Canterlot Wedding”, season 2. Staff cameos were forbidden starting in season 3 (hence the Wild Fire recolor in “Wonderbolts Academy”). These OCs, being of comic staff members, may skirt the ban.
Didn’t Hasbro sort of bar staff members from adding in their OCs into the show sometime in season 3?

Actually in Mythology there is more than the classic Griffon. Like the Keythong, Minoan Griffon, Marigriff etc…

Griffons are half birds and half feline in mythology. Frankly, this one looks badass.
So many new Pony designs that just pushes the boundaries. They look like they’ve been created in the Pony Creator.
