Weevil and Echo are a married changeling couple who, amongst thousands of others at a time of mass migration, have left the Changeling Kingdom in search of a better life in Equestria, the so-called land of love, tolerance and opportunity. Now Equestrian citizens and living in Six Points, a diverse and deprived district in Lower Manehattan, Weevil and Echo have opened their own business and are trying their best to raise their family and simply live their lives
Of course, raising a family is never easy wherever you live, especially in this bizarre urban jungle populated by friends, enemies, and all out crazies. But through it all, Weevil keeps a level head, an unwavering dedication to his friends and family and his values, and by doing so will come out on top out of whatever this Celestia-forsaken city throws at him.

Well, whatever. Maybe Asian is just the popular preference.
I myself like to think of them as Chinese. Sleeping Dogs crossover anyone?
I’m not saying he can’t make them Japanese. I’m asking why no one as far as I know has made them Celtic as per their origins.
Who cares? It’s called fanFICTION for a reason. He could have them be from Mars if he wanted.
And yes, I know Italians aren’t Celtic. But they are iconic.
Does no one recall that Changelings are based on Celtic myths?
What makes it even worse is that this is an immigrant story. There is nothing more iconically immigrant story than an Irish or Italian immigrant in New York City. Real missed opportunity there.

Well yeah, generally we want the highest quality versions. And it’s standard policy to merge foward to superior versions.

Although in this story they eat both normal food and love (which is actually an artificial compound for most changelings that tastes real bad since it isnt exactly easy to get the natural stuff, but it does help then survive).
