MLP licensing has changed hooves from bushiroad to SEGA Toys, as it was confirmed in the Int’l Tokyo Toy Show 2015 by the Japanese MLP Twitter page.
 
I’m not a NicoNico subscriber, so I don’t know anything other than the Japanese fans watched the rest of the cartoon and its films in Eng voices with J-subs by word of mouth.

Season 3 is yet to be aired officially in the Land of the Rising Sun, about this year, possibly on the -ber months. They’ll just wait for Season 5 to finish airing in North America, and/or after they have earned a lot of revenue from bushiroad’s other franchises.

im really sorry in advance. i know its kinda hypocritical for me to ask you to keep your replies short and then i go on rants but i have add so its actually extremely hard for me to read long amounts of text. thats also why my grammar is atrocious is cause after writing it i dont have the attention span to proof read it. so yeah sorry in advance for my more or less hypocritical request before. oh and another problem i tend to have is over thinking things, like ill have this whole thought out reply in my head but parts somehow get left out so what i write ends up like gibberish or not quite meaning what i meant it to in the end. so if something i say doesnt make sense, sounds half assed, or just offensive its probably not how i meant it.

to quote you, this is just plain not true. like i said ive seen all the fighting going on and people for twicorn hardly ever instigate the fights, unless you count them making a general comment about not approving of twicorn hate but thats no different then saying people arent aloud to voice their own opinions. unless youre claiming alooot of harassment happens in private conversations but since you cant prove what happens in other peoples private conversations unless they display them publicly to show what happened it cant really be considered. only private harassment that has happened to you could be counted and your unfortunate interactions dont count for everyones.
 
publicly most of the harassment is cause or instigated by the haters, if it were the other way around id say so but in general the haters start most of the public hate. plus there are too many situations to take into account to even discuss that in detail.

my computer. ive been pretty into the fandom ive seen the hate goin back and forth and whenever i see a twicorn hater ‘explaining’ why they hate it its always some non-excuse like it doesnt make sense or its not what lauren wanted. thats all they ever say and those arent valid reasons to hate it, expecially since they never explain any further then that. sure mabe you got one or two friends and/or artists you follow who may have explained in great detail but just cause a few do doesnt mean they all do.
 
For Twilight;  
yes she was humble but that doesnt automatically mean she would reject it, it means she wouldnt aspire to obtain it and she wouldnt be comfortable with it and they did a good job of that. she never aimed to be a princess or an alicorn and after obtaining both she was very uncomfortable with it and has gradually been trying to get used to the thought of it.  
never represented leadership? thats practically all she ever did in every season, everytime there was a problem she was always expected to come up with the right course of action and she almost always did. since the beginning she took on a very strong leadership role amongst her friends.
 
For the Story:  
ive actually never heard of writing yourself into a wall ive heard of writing yourself into a corner though and twilight was always like that, they always made it seem like any problem anyone had twilight could fix better and faster then anyone else. thats actually why since the beginning i expected they would eventually make her an alicorn princess cause she was just too op for it not to happen. i guess in that sense i may not have a problem with twicorn cause i expected it cause it was needed to make her believable. also it isnt something they just kinda suddenly did it was pretty clear from the beginning celestia was training her for something big and lauren herself said she planned of twilight being celestias successor which would mean she was already going to be a princess since the beginning and being an alicorn would be part of that because she would need the power and authority that would come with that for her to be able to rule in celestias place should the need arise. i will admit the way they handled doing it when they finally did it was a bit rushed and very poorly done though.
 
As for The World:  
ok for starters it doesnt say celestia ruled alone it says the two sisters ruled together until celestia was forced to banish luna to the moon THEN she ruled alone for 1000 years. that implies that theres supposed to be more then one ruler, likely two so if one goes mad or evil like did happen then it would be the others duty to stop them and rule in their stead. based on that one could speculate that maybe from the start celestia intended to groom twilight into and alicorn princess to rule along side her in lunas place to maintain balance because she thought luna would be gone forever.
 
the fact they didnt know what the deal was with the destiny spell doesnt prove anything other then the writing for the episode was extremely lazy, which goes back to my comment about how i said that i will admit the episode was poorly done and too rushed.
 
like i said if theres valid reasons to dislike it im willin to listen but based on what you say it sounds more like you misinterpreted twilights character and a few details of the show or possibly just read too much into some details. from what i saw it seemed pretty obvious from the start it was going to happen and they only real problem is they just rushed it way too much and for those who didnt see it commin it was just too outa nowhere for them to just accept.

This is just plain not true. At all. I’ve been attacked out of the blue (Even having my artwork gallery spammed with massive ASCII penises) for simply voicing said opinion on a number of occasions and it’s only gotten worse over time. Sure, it’s happened both ways in the past, but the VAST majority of times it happens nowadays are to people who don’t like it. Furthermore, who are you to judge the art of another? If something means a lot to someone, who are you to spit on their feelings and say “This is violent, therefore you are a bad person!”? It’s a valid form of self-expression and saying that people aren’t allowed to express their opinion in a manner that hurts literally no one is exactly the kind of implicit hate and intolerance of other’s opinions I’ve sadly had to come to expect from the pro-twilicorn side of things in the last year or so. I myself do not make violent artwork, even though I am an artist, but I believe an old but important saying is merited here: “I may not agree with what you say, but I will fight to the death for your right to say it”. I will stand in solidarity with anyone who expresses themselves in a manner that hurts no one else for their right to not have their opinion silenced by ideologically puritanical assholes who would not only warp the truth to pretend that they have any just reason for doing so, but silence any dissent through harassment and hatred.

I don’t know what rock you’ve been sleeping under, because the reasons I’ve heard bandied around are quite comprehensive and often expressed. Nonetheless, I will explain it, if you wish.

If you say so, feel free to ask for clarification on anything that you feel needs more explanation afterwards. I find that a long, drawn out debate over the subject usually ensues.
 
For Twilight;  
Twilight as a character is (or rather was) very humble. She represented a lot of things, none of them leadership. The closest quality she had to leadership was organization. Everything in her character from seasons one, two and three leading up to the change would imply that she would reject the change on a visceral and emotional level.
 
For the Story:  
I’m sure you’ve heard the term ‘writing yourself into a wall’ before. Nowadays, there’s absolutely no problem that can face the rest of the mane 6 that Twilight cannot implicitly solve better, there’s no reason for the rest of the mane 6 to avoid going to her with a problem they have (if their friendship is as strong as the show claims) and it took the character of Twilight way off track through the most lazy means possible. Slapping an arbitrary, unearned, unwanted title on a character and saying “Now you have advanced” is as lazy as saying “This character has leveled up” as a method of explaining something in the plot that makes no sense.
 
As for The World:  
Think back to Seasons one and two. Specifically, think back to the opener of Season one. What exactly were the words in the opening story? “The older pony sister ruled equestria alone”. Everything implicit in the lore from before the change to Twilight’s character showed that Celestia ruled Equestria alone for 1000 years. It screws up the established power-scaling, the mythological canon of the world itself and the basic facts of their reality.
 
As proof of the aforementioned, I would like to point you to the fact that when pressured on what the Destiny Spell was for in the first place the writers of the show unanimously admitted that they hadn’t even taken the time to properly conceptualize the spell at all and had no idea what it was supposed to do at all.

some people just don’t want to go along with the flow.
 
if anything, I’m more tired of the whole “it’s a toy show, get used to it”.

I would argue that most who dislike Twilicorn do have legitimate reasons. I myself have written over 100 pages on the subject of why it makes no sense in Twilight’s Character, why it makes no sense in the story, why it makes no sense in the world, why it was a bad decision from a storytelling perspective, etc.
 
I would say the people you seek to have explain their positions to you are simply too pissed that they’re being accosted for having a different opinion, too lazy to get into a debate, or sick of explaining it to others in general when the same basic arguments you’ve heard from those who DO take the time to explain it are the same ones they have.

What I want to know is, does the artist really hate alicorn Twilight enough to draw something like this, or is he poking fun at the rabid haters?

theres a difference between different opinions and ignorant hate, most people who hate twicorn don’t even have a valid reason for it. their just violently against change, regardless of if it’s good or bad, most people against tricorn haters are typically only vocal when they see haters on a rant about the fact they hate it.
 
if it were just a difference of opinions there wouldnt be an issue, the problem is the haters going outa their way to draw things of twilight being violently mutilated to ‘fix’ her when there wasnt anything wrong with her.
 
if people don’t like twilight bein an alicorn thats their choice and they can just draw her as a unicorn but when they start attacking twilight because shes not what THEY wanted her to be then theres a problem.

I wonder why some people get so mad when they see these images.
