And for what it’s worth, the lock of his hair had to have been retrieved by somepony else, since IIRC she’d never seen him in person before.

Oh please, that’s just a front. You saw her creepy shrine to Trenderhoof right? She had a lock of his hair which I’d bet my belly button came from his tail, especially since she sounded like she was going to be violating his posters the second her friends left.
