That’s what you think.
I know, that’s kind of my argument here. It would be one thing if it was both the best available match and didn’t interfere with someone who might fit better, but this becomes a situation where other characters are sort of forced to be situated to make due for another character to fit a stereotype. From there, a lot of the matchups are based on either excuses or assumptions. The only characters who have a fairly solid connection to the roles they fill are Rainbow Dash and Rarity, while almost every other merc has somepony else of the Mane 6 who could fill the role better in some way.
Boy, none of the mane 6 are good to be any fo the TF2 mercs.
People use vague similitudes like personalities or a simple thing that is similar our TF2 mercs. There is no pony that fits 100% with a tf2mercenary, except Pinkie, because every merc is crazy, and because Pinkie is Pinkie.
That’s really all she has though. I mean, if the Engineer didn’t have the whole ‘Texas’ thing going on, but still had 11 PhD’s and built machines for fun, would you still consider Applejack a good Engineer?
He choice Pinkie as Engi because he find PinkiePyro boring…
And because Pinkie has gadgets, not because is smart.
Applejack have some gadgets too.

You’re trying to control our opinions by telling us we’re brainless and lazy for not sharing your opinion. We’re stating an opinion, you’re the only one trying to control anyone right now.
Also, militants? Really? I’m not sure if you’re using the wrong or actually just that stupid.
you militants of kitty metal, the way to live copying putting, not even stop for a minute and looked at all points in front of his analysis, are what we might call robots or zombies, or lazy people of thinking
Exactly. One artist, Metal-Kitty, created a series of comics that explains his particular interpretation of the classes. Two of the most controversial decisions is Twilight as the Medic and Fluttershy as the Sniper. (He also has Pinkie as Engineer, Spike as Pyro, Derpy as Soldier, and Applejack as Demoman). He has some excellent explanations for his choices too, which can be found in his ponified “Meet the Team!” comics, and is currently in the process of ponifying “Expiration Date”. Check it out sometime.
I could never understand Twilight Sniper. The Sniper doesn’t really seem particularly bright, and it seems to me any excuse for him would work just as well for the Engineer, who has 11 PhDs in hard sciences. Also, is Fluttershy the Medic just to make her the healer? She and the Medic are like Night and Day in personality.
And Rainbow Dash is always the Scout. It’s scary how alike they are: Speedster with a massive ego and a mouth to match.
Rarity is ALWAYS the Spy.
